It's interesting how different sites interpret the same laws in a different way, and therefore take all these divergent courses of action. If I had my own site, I would certainly have a flexible interpretation. Some of this is just silly; people want to play online just for amusement, not to get in financial trouble or do anything shady. It's all in fun. |

I think the whole thing is ridiculous. I realize that a certain percentage of people are going to overspend, have an addiction etc but the majority of people are not going to do this. If we allowed online gaming in the states (legally) we would actually be bringing cash flow into the US. Sites would be able to be in the states therefore $$ made would be taxed ergo more $$ for the govt. This is a simplified version of what I think but you get the point. I love the fact that different site interpret this differently. What makes it ok for me in Ca to play on these sites but not someone in Illinois... it is technically illegal so what differentiates the states?? Oh well enough on my rant... |
