Default Full Tilt and other sites for Limit Players

I just started with Full Tilt rakeback and I have played a few nights at my starting full ring 1-2 limit tables, so far at night i notice there are about 8-10 tables available and the preflop % is usually from 20-35 and a couple of tables are higher.
After doing some data mining I noticed that there are a lot of tighter tables.
I was told to perhaps learn shorthanded which I am doing research on as we speak and that there is more action at those tables.
I only play limit as I don't like the swings in NL and I don't have TILT control so I enjoy the Limit game and would like to move up to 2-4 and 3-6.

Can I get some feedback from all you small stakes limit players on your thoughts of the play on full tilt and what other sites you recommend I should play using rakeback ofcourse........

I am a part time player as I have a 9-5 job in the IT world, but I would like to make a small side income with poker if it is possible.
I started with a free bankroll of $150.00 with certain sites that give you money to play there and try to build your bankroll. I am currently at about 900 and I deposited 600 through Full tilt to try to build my bankroll as they are know to have a lot of players.

Any thoughts and advice would be great, if there is somebody tha wishes to PM as well that would be great!

I like the Full Tilt site, unfortunately too late to get rakeback on FTP for me
I'd definately recommend playing 6max rather than full ring, its much more interesting, and you'll have as high, maybe even higher % of donks at 6max than full rung. I find FR too nitty and a bit boring :P

Good to see another limit player

I'd suggest giving Celeb Poker rakeback a go. The limit player volume on that network is lower than Full Tilt, but they do constantly have tables up to 100/200 running, and pre-flop action is loose no matter what blinds.

Check out this lobby screen shot I just took. There is one 10/10 €1/2 table with pre-flop of 43%. And the full shorthanded tables are all over 60%, even up to $10/20. I've been playing limit there myself recently with good results.

Many poker books and other sources suggest playing short-handed tables to maximize profit for more seasoned players. So, if you're confident in your skills, and have built a bankroll to show for it, then by all means definitely play short-handed

Best wishes!

I play 4-6 tables of NL .50/1 - 2/4 depending on the day every single day for a living. If you are trying to increase your bankroll substantially. I recommend playing more tables while going down stakes. I've found it to reduce variance while leaving room for constant action. While playing smaller stakes, but more tables, you won't go on tilt so easily. And, you'll be gaining massive amounts of rakeback.

In the case of limit, with your bankroll in mind. You could easily play 3-4 tables of 2/4 Limit sitting with say, $60.00 - $80.00 on each table as long as you are playing as TAG (I used to play with this exact amount when I had a BR of 1k-2k. If you play this 4-6 hours a day, I think you'll make at least $800 a month from RB.

I personally do not like limit since a player cannot force an opponent to fold draws. NL contains a much larger element of control during post flop play.

Hit me up if you need anything further.
