Hello clayton72,

Unfortunately moving existing poker room accounts to rakeback is not possible. Rakeback is paid from the affiliate commission that we get from poker rooms for referring new players to their site, that are tagged with our affiliate code. Existing poker accounts are not tagged with our affiliate code, so we do not get commission of your rake that would enable us to pay rakeback.

If you are interested in any other rakeback deals, please view this list: Poker Rakeback | Get Poker Rake Back

yeah... this is so sick... i dont know what to do about it myself... planing to move away from UB (badbeat table issues) and i dont know where to go since i dont want to play without rakeback...
and i have account in most poker rooms... wish i hadnt made my accout without rakeback at FTP... tho i didnt know about it back then.... perhaps there are some other rakeback sites that offer existing accounts of FTP rakeback? anyone knows? (admins i hope its ok to ask about other rakeback sites here? since the issue we are having here is not in conflict with what your site provides.... right?)

No matter which provider you use, rakeback requires you to open your account after having clicked the rakeback provider's referral link to the poker site. If you already have an account then the rakeback provider won't be receiving any money to give back to you.

Can't you get a "relative" to start a new account on your computer? Then you can play on your "relatives" account

That wouldn't work because the sites track members according to their IP address...i.e. the Internet Provider...so unless that "relative" wants to pay for a separate internet connection with a totally different Internet Provider, it wouldn't work

I have heard that there there can be made exceptions when rakeback site contcats the poker site and arrange a rakeback deal for you... everything works as if you would of had opened a new account...

Don't think this is true...I'm pretty you can have multiple accounts at the same IP address. Worth a try even if you can't though.

YI've read the full tilt forum and they do allow multiple addresses from the same computer. The rule is one account per peson, not per household. The only stipulation is that you require a different name and different neteller account. As long as these are do not match then you are free to open a new account on Full Tilt.

What I don't understand is why people are openly discussing how to basically cheat both Rakeback and the poker site(s)........

C'mon now folks....get with the program....

Trust me...It isn't worth a try... I learned first hand. FullTilt closed my account with $$ in it cause they found out I had multi accounts. Even if I only made the new account cause i didn't remember the password and the correct name. And I miss FullTilt now a days

It's not cheating Rakeback, they would actually be making money if people opened a second account through the site. Now, cheating the poker site is a whole different topic, and they sure don't monitor these forums.

You can have more than one account per IP, it just cannot be the same name/person. Trying to open another account won't hurt. Worst that will happen is the poker site will close the account, and send the money deposited there to your primary account. So, to those of you who want, I say give it a shot!

It IS cheating because the whole point of the program is to help poker sites promote by recruiting NEW PLAYERS - If you have more than one account at a particular site, then you are NOT A NEW PLAYER, simply a greedy one...

Be happy that Rakeback even exists, and use it the way it was intended to be used... If it gets abused, then they have every right to discontinue it, and then what will you get?

1) to liladypokerpro

ohh wow... you got some weird view of life... lets thank God(lol god) we are alive... camon get real.. first of all they should be interested in getting NEW players to their site.. i have an account there.. but i aint playing unless i get a rakeback.. so if i get a rakeback and go back playing there they ll be a NEW player... +1 to players who are playing there... so in a way its exactly what they want... and second.. rakeback is no present to you... its just how things are made and rakeback now is part of system.. big deal... you are talking like its a gift from gods(pokerrooms) and everybody should thank them just because of it.. they make more than we do.. so its a good deal for them... most players loose their money and rakeback anyway...

2) to ninoizbored

did it happen to you or did you read it somewhere or you friend told that his friend was told by a friend who had the problem.... i mean i have heard that they refund your money to original account if you have multiple accounts... i am not sure.. but i think i had the issue myself... dont remeber anymore... anyway they would never do like that... did you contact support? did you explain the situation? if not... your own fault you lost your money...

and multiple accounts from same ip are allowed as long as you can prove that the other account is for another person living in your house...

Each poker room allows one account per person, and players cannot open a second personal account. As far as I know no IP tracking is used; many people are on a shared IP address.

Rakeback to our customers is paid out of the commission that rakeback poker rooms pay us for referring new players to their poker room. We get a share of the profit = rake, and circulate it back to players in form of rakeback. Logically poker rooms do not pay us any commission out of players that do not register their account through rakeback.com, and therefore we cannot pay rakeback to these players.

i totally understand... and as far as i know your site doenst offer existing users to get a rakeback... and its fine by me.. still you have to agree that a player that is coming back to play a certain room should be considered as a new player aswell... sure your deal is to get players who dont have an account yet.. and like i said i understand.. tho i gonna repeat myself... new player for poker room is anyone who is coming to play there.. a first timer or a oldtimer who is not going to play that room unless he gets rakeback.. so they should be interested... too bad they aint as of yet...

Actually, they don't. They keep your account open and transfer funds to that. Both my girlfriend and I had accounts on FTP, but because her bank wouldn't let her transfer money in, and mine did, we had my name on both accounts. FTP realized it, and said that they had to have different names, closed her account, and sent the money in her account into mine, because it was opened first. Then we just created an account with her name and I transfered her the money.

It has happened to me twice once Fulltiltpoker and once on a old site that closed down a while back named JetsetPoker, I did contact support. But it is in there rules[terms & conditions] that if you have multi accounts or if you don't follow all of there rules. Your account[s] will be closed even if you have money in it. And there is really nothing you can do cause when you sign up for any site you agree to the terms of there site.
