I'd recommend signing up with some other site, if only for the fact there was quite a large scandal involving AP, where some 'superusers' could see other people's hole cards. Of course the flip side is that perhaps it is now the MOST secure site, as a result what happened.

Just a heads-up

As long as there is software, there will always be hackers...that is anywhere you go online. The safest measure is to keep yourself informed by reading up on news and events of poker sites before you join them. If you find questionable information regarding any site, I'd suggest choosing another for your own peace of mind.

I've found it to be the easiest site to make money quickly on, but I guess that's just me. I regularly found tables full of players willing to call three and four bets preflop and fold on the flop when I'd lead out. Made $350 in my first week playing $1/2 limit. Played two tournaments on the site, the second I took third place and won $238. Could be just a hot run, but I don't mind.

Awful site. There are so many better ones to choose from. I found that there were a lot of verbally agressive/very rude players there.

I've given up on that site now.

But I take the point of Huskers, you can make money there, but you can lose a lot too!

We send the list of rakeback payments to be made to Absolute Poker on the 5th day of every month. It is up to Absolute Poker then to process the payments to player accounts. This is usually done between 10th and 15th.

Yes there was an inside cheating scandal discovered at Absolute Poker last year. The poker room was security audited by third parties assigned by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, and all the people involved in it were fired. Absolute Poker is also now subject to random security audits by the commission for the following years, so one might assume that the scandal has improved their security and nothing like that should happen anytime soon there. This is my personal opinion.

Default Absolute

I have had no problems at Absolute. The software runs smoothly, I have never had it crash on me and I use dial-up (I live in BFE). My Rakeback is deposited by the 17th of each and every month.

There are rude donks everywhere, I disable chat for idiots.

Play where you like, there are many choices, just make sure it has a deal with Rakeback.

Thanks Rakeback.

I've just started on Absolute Poker from a long time on Pokeroom and Pokerstars and I must say that the software and the 200bb stacks do take a while to get used to ( i still sit with 100bb for what it's worth) but I have not had any problems with the site in general or the rakeback.

Once you customise the table and get the HUD sorted then the softness of the players more than make up for any short comings in other departments.

The only downside I can see intially is the bonus, while sizeable, is very hard to clear at the lower limits ( 25c - 50c ) and the rakeback is from your rake minus the bad beat jackpot which can be a good percentage.

All things aside, I would say that if you wanted to build a bankroll at 25c-50c and 50c-$1 then Absolute, with it's rakeback and very soft opposition is a much more attractive site than Pokerstars of Full Tilit.
