I am not aware of any way to use Full Tilt Points that would not trigger the $0.005 points deduction.
Most poker rooms deduct bonuses from rake, before rakeback is calculated. Its a pretty standard practice, and logical since rakeback comes from sharing the revenue that the poker room makes from you. If the poker room gives you more bonus than you pay in rake, then you make a loss to the poker room, and there is no rake revenue to share back to you as rakeback.
That said, for example the
Absolute Poker rakeback program does not currently make any bonus deduction to your rake. Give Absolute a go.

Not in general, but when that bonus is cleared then of course there will be no more deductions for it. If you get another bonus later on, that bonus will also be deducted against your Gross Rake and
FTP rakeback.

Here is what Full Tilt has said to us about using
Iron Man medals (I better add this to the
Rakeback FAQ):
If a player uses medals to buy a cash bonus then this works in the same way a deposit bonus would work so that would count as a bonus deduction.
The medals that are used to gain entry into a tournament will not effect a players rakeback. But if the player uses the medals for entry into a guaranteed tournament and the guarantee isn't met then it will go down under Player Added. Quote:

Correct. Full Tilt Points used on the site or in the store are deducted at a rate of $0.005 per point, so 5000 used points equals a $25 deduction to your rake, meaning $6.75 less of 27% rakeback.
