Default Fulltiltpoker doesn't give rakeback

I have an existing account at FTP. I have been playing for two years. Two years ago,I didn't know much about rakeback so I just registered there. Two weeks ago I sent an e-mail to FTP and asked that if I could open a new account to get rakeback from rakeback.com.And I wanted them to close my old account. But they replied "no". They said that you cannot do that.If you open a new account , your new account will be closed. So I understand that I have no chance to get rakeback from FTP..

If there is no rakeback why should i go on playing there ? I wont play there anymore until they give me rakeback. If they want they can do that.. They will just let me to open a new account from here and close my previous account..Is it really impossible ?

Yep unfortunately it's impossible because the only reason rakeback exists is to filter in new players to the poker sites. As a reward for bringing in new players, rakeback gets a cut of the taken rake, and then rakeback filters down a portion of that to the player as their rakeback payment.

I'm in the exact same situation, i've sent many emails to FTP saying how unfair it is to give some players rakeback and not others when they could easily give players like us rakeback directly if they wished. Giving new players rakeback and long term, loyal high volume players nothing is disgusting. As a result i have now cashed out my full account and told them i won't ever be back unless they give me a rakeback deal, i encourage all other FTP players without rakeback to do the same.

Here is what our FAQ say:

5. Can I get rakeback to a poker room where I already have an account?
No. Our rakeback loyalty programs are for new accounts only, unless stated otherwise. Why? See the 9. Where rakeback payments come from? section further down this page for explanation.

9. Where rakeback payments come from?
Rakeback.com has signed an affiliate contract with each respective rakeback poker room. We agree to refer new players to these poker rooms, and they in turn will pay Rakeback.com a share of the lifetime profit that our players generate. The rakeback loyalty payments are made from this commission we get for referring loyal customers to their poker room. Since the poker rooms know exactly how much rake you generate, we are able to pay you rakeback accordingly.

Full Tilt does not give rakeback to anyone, it is us. Rakeback is a marketing tactic we use to recruit new players to poker rooms.

OK then, it's very unfair that they allow rakeback to be given to some players and not others. Also they could give rakeback themselves if they wanted to but their only interested in attracting new players, not keeping current one's.
