| First of all from all of us members, thanks rakeback. You guys really do treat members like family. Wonderful offers abound come from this place. And always, the rakeback from the poker rooms Rocks. OK, I see where the front page articles are a little moldy and I have read each of them at least once. Not to spend more of Rakeback's cash, but I propose a new monthly contest. Poker Article of the Month. Each month Rakeback can come up with a topic and have members submit an article on it (limit one per member). Rakeback can select the best article for the topic, give the winner 100 bucks and put the article on the front page links. Hell, I would attempt it without a contest, just tell us the topic. What do you think? Thanks again Rakeback. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Yes, we can try an article writing promotion. Will have to figure out some rules and guidelines on how to write a proper article. Do you think a voting by members could work on articles, as opposed to forum posts that we first experimented with? I wouldn't know how good I would be on judging articles, being such a bad writer myself.

| I would not be against a voting method. I am not the best writer but would try. How to keep the other issue from happening (weird voting patterns) is another question. Instead of a straight vote on who is best, maybe we could use some sort of rating system. Each member can read the articles and rank them in the order they think, best to worst, 1 to n. Take the average position, the highest (or lowest if 1 is best) wins. That way every one would have to rank all the articles. Even if you vote your own first, you will have to put another in the second, third and all other positions. I am not saying to score each article seperately, but to rank them top to bottom, all are counted for each vote with a different value. If there are 6 articles to choose from , then there would be a list of the articles and each voting member ranks them 1 to 6, or 6 to 1 what ever is determined. Add the scores, divide by number of votes and we have our contest results. Keep the results hidden until announcing the winner and that also may help with outside inteferance. Since the end result will be on the Rakeback home page the contest could be limited to those with a minimum number of forum post. Not a large number, but large enough to keep non-rakeback forum minded one timers from voting or entering. Any other thoughts? Thanks again Rakeback. Later, ![]() ![]() |

| That sounds pretty good there Vito...you may not be a great writer, but you sure know how to come up with fantastic ideas! ![]()
