Something very weird happened today at full tilt and it's shaken my confidence.
So, I'm playing 5NL and I'm taking a bit of a pounding. Playing 6 tables, up slightly on 4 but 2 BI's down on another. Bout 150 hands in on each table.
On one table I get dealt KQ in mid position. Nobody makes a move before I do and I'm all set to put in a raise to 3bb. But then I notice something strange. In the middle of the table, where the pot total is normally displayed, is already a figure. There are chips, plus a figure of $2:XX, where XX is something small, but I can't remember exactly. Something between $2:10 and $2:20.
Very strange, so I did a double take. Still pre flop, min raise still possible, I haven't put money in this pot yet etc. Nope, all fine. I dismissed it as a graphics glitch, perhaps one of the tables behind (I play with tables cascaded) had somehow been rendered incorrectly.
But then it got weird. After my raise it got folded to the big blind, and what did the big blind do? Shoved it all in. And here's the bit that makes me dubious. His stack size was $2:15, making a total pot of $2.31
I'm annoyed, because I think that the pot size showing before I raised was his bet size plus the blinds is the figure that was showing in the middle of the table. If that is the case the only possible conclusion is bot, and pre-meditated shove with a glitch that displayed it on the table.
Now, I'm happy to admit this could be a case of coincidences. I'm happy to admit that I didn't see the actual figure. But, this is the first time I've ever seen chips in mid table by mistake, and it's one hell of a coincidence for someone to shove all in and put in the right number of chips to within 10 cents or so.
The opponents name was TATU_51. He may be genuine, and I offer an apology if so, but I'm concerned. I only have 32 hands of history with TATU_51 and he's a losing player over those hands, but even so...
