3betting flop is terrible, but I'm sure I've heard worse advice somewhere else.
At 2:05 he bets for information and then at 2:40, if villain is loose he wants to 3bet/fold with $119 effective stacks and $205 in the pot.
Without a doubt the best line in the entire video is "[...] probably reraise at this pot. Nothing really big... I'm not going to over-commit myself because I still might have to lay this hand down."
When a min-3bet would be to $125 (which puts over 65% of the effective starting stacks in)... yes, sticking in over 65% of your stack and folding is a great idea folks. LOL Someone really needs to talk about when you make a commitment decision in NL... hint, it's not after putting in most of your stack.
I think he does point out the right decision at the end of the video though (which is to fold... especially with a caller between us and the check-raiser). He just glosses over that and makes a big deal out of an obvious situation.
I get no respect. . . when I move all-in, people from other tables call.
Actually, this is a pretty disgusting spot though. Say you've made it 4x pre so the pot is $40, what's your play? Bet/fold flop, bet/fold a blank turn?
Not all of us are nits like you and raise 4x haha.
And this is one of the easiest folds you can have with AA on the flop. Especially if you "bet to see where you are" and get check/raised lol. I can't believe old-school pros still think that's ok.
It was 5way and you got check/raised. It's the nuts like 95% of the time.
Think for yourself. Question authority.
Most of the people I see that 4x it are nits because they have like 0 weak hands in their range so they want to get the most value they can.
I'd bet/fold on the turn. You're basically just betting to get value from straight and flush draws, so when you get raised they always have you beat unless they are tricky-good and waited to raise turn on a flush draw.
Think for yourself. Question authority.
