There's no need for it anymore now that they've hired the writers, I reckon. I think it was primarily just a perk to try to keep the forums alive, but now that there are writers contributing on a regular basis, a perk is no longer necessary. Just my guess.

The forum is still dead. Really dead. Having the PTOTW around or not wouldn't matter.

I'm just not playing online atm. I did keep posting when the PTOTW has died in the past.

Same here - real life takes top priority, and this past year has been a rocky road... and no, I don't mean the ice cream lol

The forums always have their ups and downs. The PTOTW motivates people to post but I think we can still keep it going. Who knows maybe they will bring it back one day. I am still grateful for the $50 win I had last year when I had 0 in my account and then turned it into about 5k profit for the year. I haven't been posting as much recently but that is cause I took some time off after I tilted off 1/3 of my roll.

+1. A year of PTOTW took my roll from like $10 to ~$500, from their I took it to $4k.

The PTOTW was good for me. I wish it would come back. I wouldn't be playing at Nordica or Full Tilt without it. The money I won from the PTOTW on each site respectively is how I funded my account on both those sites without ever making a deposit.
I get no respect. . . when I move all-in, people from other tables call.

It isn't something I have the power to bring back. I'm just a moderator for the forums. The PTOTW was a promotional thing that the site admins were doing for a while. I guess they feel their other promotions more than make up for it at this point.

I can't argue that too much. They do have some great promotions.
