Default I am the king of sucking out.

I have a friend who sometimes plays full ring on PS. He'll often ask me to join him and I will. But, of course, I can't just play one table of 9-handed poker anymore... lol... I have become way too ADD for that. So I open a few tables... and just pay the most attention to the one my friend is at.

Edit: This looks bad but this was the player's 3rd hand at the table. They posted blind, 3-bet when UTG raised, and shoved the flop when checked to on the first hand. The next hand they opened to 5xbb and it folded around... so this hand, I didn't necessarily expect their hand to be as strong as it was. Either they ran hot as hell the first few hands at the table or I just was unlucky to hit the top of their range.

Ha, nice, but don't complain about those winnings. Poker tracker tells me that I have had 9 straight flushes (including hands where I folded). I've only ever been in the hand once, and as luck would have it I had a full on Maverick. Look how much I won (this was in my first few weeks of playing).

Oh man... I hope you've learned to value bet better these days.

I've had a few Royal Flushes in my time playing poker. And a few dozen straight flushes too. But I play a LOT of cards... lol. And I have been playing for a long time -- since I was a very little kid. So I've seen a lot.

I once was playing with my cousins and uncle and they decided to cold deck me while I was in the bathroom (nice family I have, honestly). Although they claim they were going to just undo the hand when it was over. Anyway, think about it... they know my hand and they know they have me beat or will have me beat by the river. How much money goes in the pot? 8 big blinds from each stack. And 3 of those were from my pre-flop raise.

I bet pre-flop, bet 4xbb on the flop, and then shut down until the river because my hand wasn't that great. My uncle bet 1xbb on the river and I called. Then they admitted what was up.

Honestly though... they knew I had an over-pair but they forgot that my over-pair of J-J wouldn't look great when they call on a 2-7-7 board and then the turn is an Ace. There is just nothing I can beat that continues there so I shut down. My uncle was holding 7-7... lol. They should have dealt a J-7-7 flop... THEN they would have got some money in.

I do think it's funny when people don't go for value. I see it all the time at 4nl and 10nl... usually when I lose a big pot, it's one I built... because the other person didn't bet. Granted, I win more than my fair share of big pots (and medium and small ones) because I am building pots... but rarely does someone try and build one against me. They'll flop the nuts and min-bet the entire way... lol.
