Keep the $15 and use it for something else. LOL. Nice hand and well played. I would have folded after the turn card came out cause I would have put him on a 9 or 8. But nice hand and well deserved.

Now granted he didn't have anything, but you made some rather brave calls there IMO, and got lucky on the end. A $10 bet into a pot of ~$25, with two pair showing on the board, and your high card is a queen....no way you should have been around. But, nice hand none-the-less in the end.

You're calling $10 at the turn for a $26 pot. You probably have the odds to call if the board wasn't all paired up like that (b/c you have flush and str draws) but more times than not, the other guy has an 8 or 9 and you're drawing to ONE out in order to beat him.

No offense but if you ignore the results of this hand, you were the "donk" here. Grats to you for scooping a nice pot but when analyzing a hand to determine if you made the correct play, you do it without regard of the result.

Also, why are you playing with $83 at $1/2? You really should always buy in for max, if you cannot afford to take a $200 beat in that game in one hand, you need to move down. Playing above your bankroll for entertainment or the thrill of a big pot is a bad investment and it will only cause you to go broke sooner than you would have liked.

You were calling big bets when you could of been behind even hitting your hand, with the board like it was your straight and flush would have probably been no good.

I hit str8flush maybe once a month in omaha. I almost never chase them, but as I flop them, u can get good actin from full houses and ace flushes. Almost everytime u double or even triple up.

Well .. FWIW

I watched this table for a few minutes (usually check out tables and players before I jump in), and this guy was making some ridiculous bets with nothing but crap cards. A couple of players already there had already taken $50-60 from him in a few hands.

In retrospect, normally thats a crappy call, but I thought he was just trying to bully the newest player at the table (me) and I was not taking any of it. (I had also just cashed in a private tournament and had the money to lose, so why not see the river)

Thats why I try to scout a table I want to join first, to see what the players are like.

I took this same donk a few days later for $45 in a matter of 10 minutes, again, he was playing horrible hands.
