Play money first, then Rakeback

Hello all, i am from the U.S.. I'm also new to the online poker world and have a question? I want to join Carbon Poker but don't want to deposit just yet. I would like to play for play money first before i deposit to get a feel for the rooms. So my question is do i go through a rakeback site first or does a rakeback site only allow you to sign up through them for real money play only. Also is it better to except rakeback over bonuses or vice versa? I'm a bit confused about all this and would appreciate a helpful explanation from anyone willing. Thank you.

always sign up through rakeback, you can still play for play money without depositing. Also you can get bonuses on top of your rakeback with some sites. Others will deduct the bonus.

yeah sasa is right, you should still sign up via a rakeback site because you don't just get linked by bonus-codes, also internet cookies, marketing codes, etc. depending on the site

so if one day you decided to deposit it may not be enough to just use a RB site's code with your first deposit. the tracking's a bit more involved

you can sign up and play for play money as long as you want, it's not a problem at all

you can get both the majority of the time, rakeback plus a deposit bonus. the first 30 - 90 days on a new site are the most profitable (lowest effective rake), as an incentive to keep playing

sometimes the 'rakeback' comes from a VIP program and bonuses that you buy with points after playing for a while. but you can get a first deposit bonus too, on almost every site out there
