Default Merge Lowers Fixed Limit Rake

For any limit fans, this is really amazing news that should be spread far and wide.

    http://www.rakeback.com/news/2012/10...mit-rake-2559/

Cliffs: Every Merge Skin (Carbon Poker, Aced, etc.) now uses PokerStars' very low (the lowest online) rake structure for fixed limit games - Limit Hold'em, HORSE, everything. And it still offers 35% flat rakeback, plus an extra ~15% easily attainable from VIP points, rake races, promotions, and reload bonuses (unlimited ones on e.g. Black Chip).

That means playing Limit on Merge is exactly the same in terms of rake levels and 'price to play' after rakeback as holding Supernova Elite status on stars. And it's like that from Day 1 onwards, because rakeback is paid daily.

Software, support, security and player traffic aside, Merge is now easily the number one choice for any fixed limit player who cares about rakeback.

    U.S. Players are also accepted.

Support on Merge skins is actually pretty solid, the software manageable after recent updates, and player traffic is slowly on the rise as word of this gets out.

At about 17:30 ET Fixed Limit traffic looks like this for the micro, low, and medium lobbies:

This is actually pretty relevant to NLHE or PLO players too, with any interest in trying a new game. With such a high rakeback percentage and such a low rake, many players will be more profitable playing Fixed Limit on Merge than playing big bet games elsewhere.

There are plenty of players with nitty and loose-passive tendencies in the Merge Limit Hold'em seas with stats like:

If you feel like giving any of these games a try, do so and watch the rakeback roll in - LHE, Limit Omaha, LO8, Limit Stud, Limit Stud8, Limit Five Card Stud, Razz, Five Card Draw, 2-7 TD, Half Pot Limit Badugi, Limit HA, HO, HAR, SHOE, RASH, HORSE.

Also neglected to mention there's no cap heads up so if a maniac spews vs you or you cooler someone as below it's extremely profitable to get 7+ bets in on a street

    Merge $0.50/$1 Limit Hold'em - 5 players -

Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is BB with T T
1 fold, CO raises, 2 folds, Hero 3-bets, CO calls

    Flop: (6.5 SB) T 6 4 (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO calls

    Turn: (6.25 BB) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO caps!, Hero caps!, CO calls

    River: (16.25 BB) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO caps!, Hero caps!, CO caps!, Hero caps!, CO calls

    Final Pot: 30.25 BB
    Hero shows T T
    CO shows 6 6
    Hero wins 29.85 BB
    (Rake: $0.40)
