    Default Full Tilt Iron Man

Hi guys, I have a question about the ironman promotion on FT. Looked at the details and its not clear on a couple of points.

Do you have to opt in or is it automatic when you earn enough points?
Do they replace points earned when you get medals?
Are they deducted from gross rake if you spend em?
    If yes whats the damage?

    Cheers

Edit (05/2009): Mollila did some research on this subject and posted the article here: http://www.rakeback.com/articles/ful...-man-rakeback/

Look at the website detailing the specifics about the promotion. Earning 200 points a day 25 days in the month will gain you Iron Man status. You can opt in for extra bonus medals or instead, you can opt in to the Iron Man freeroll. Points earned are not replaced, you can only gain more FTPs; that is to say, the only way to lose FTPs is to spend them at the full tilt store or on tournaments. So no, there is no deduction from the gross rake when you spend them. Go into Cashier, then click on 'My Promotions' which is below your listed FTP total. Browse around that area and read what they have available; this will help familiarize yourself with the current bonus program(s) offered.

Could someone please just clarify this for me then with regards spending the Full Tilt Medals?

I know that if you spend your Full Tilt Points, you lose some of the rakeback that you have earned. Is this not the case with the medals? i.e you are free to spend them without anything being deducted from your rakeback?

The only deduction that comes out of your rake is when you receive a bonus. Bonuses do not include the spending of Full Tilt Points or the use of Bonus Medals as they were earned through fulfilling other requirements of play. So in effect, you are not hurting your rakeback by using Bonus Medals or spending Full Tilt Points. If you receive a special bonus offer (as in the initial deposit bonus) then your rakeback will suffer.

Default Points do come out of rake

This was the main question I had re iron man medals, I know for a fact that if you spend FT points in the store on on points tournys there is a deduction made from your gross rake of .005c per point which in turn has the knockon deduction from net rake. I havnt seen any where a cash amount stated for medals, they might be free

I thought I'd read that too BigDogg regarding the loss of rake per Full Tilt point spent. Maybe the admin could help us out regarding the cost, if any, of spending Iron Man medals???

Used Points – Full Tilt Points used on the site or in the store are deducted at a rate of $0.005 per point.
If you use points, then half a cent is deducted from your rake per point. These are shown in Rake Tracking detailed view for Full Tilt.

So then instead of saving my points for the 50'' plasma screen tv (400k points) I should instead not even spend the points and just buy the tv on my own? The rake reduction would be 2k dollars... This seems a little silly to me...

The conversion rate is 0.005c per point not half a cent per point. I already knew that, the question I have is there a conversion rate for using iron man medals or are they free?

You are right DaGreenster the 400,000 points for your TV would mean $2000 deduction from your gross rake but that would be only $540 rake back you would lose (27%) cheap for a 50" TV and If you are that way inclined you could switch sites and not lose any rake back as the amount can be left as a negative amount on full tilts books while you play elsewhere.

I am not aware what the medals are. Do they cost Full Tilt Points?

They dont "cost points" you have to earn so many points a day for a number of days and depending on how many you earn and over how many days, you are awared an "ironman level" of bronze silver gold or iron with a corresponding no of medals awarded. These can be spent in the iron man shop. At no time as I understand it are the points you earned to become an ironman replaced for the medals, they are given in addition. The medals can be spent on additional points which Im sure if you spend would attract the usual rake deduction but they can also be spent on other things which may or may not attract a deduction. That is the basis of my original question. Oh and there is also a decent free roll every month for qualifying ironmen which is for me the main reason for achieving ironman status, the medals are just a bonus, unless they cost too much of course

I too want to know how Ironman affects your rakeback. The end of the month freeroll, I think, would count as "player added", and would count against you for (total prize pool)/(# of players). The medals however, can be spent on anything from bonuses, tourney tickets, FTP points, naming a table, etc. Can we see something that breaks down what these items cost us?

It's a freeroll so it wouldn't cost anything towards your rakeback at all. Player added rakeback deductions only apply when you enter a tourney that has a guaranteed prize pool and they don't get enough entry fees to cover the guarantee.

I am curious to know if trading medals in for cash, tournament entry fee tokens or additional FTP does count against rakeback. Perhaps someone from customer service can contact Full Tilt to clarify this?

I asked this from Full Tilt, and they said that only if a player uses their medals to buy more Full Tilt Points and then uses the points will it effect rakeback in the regular way.

IS it better to get xtra medals or play the freeroll.

What are the pros/cons of both?

    Your thoughts?

So I take this to mean that the monthly Ironman freerolls do not count against your rakeback.
I didn't expect it to work out this way as Full Tilt adds $30,000 to the prize pool of this event, which I had expected they would take out your percentage from your rakeback.

This also seems to say that if I use Ironman medals to buy a $100 bonus or a $26 token then I will not be charged against my rakeback. But if I get offered a bonus directly from FT then I will get charged? And if I use my medals to buy FT points; which I then use to enter a tournament to win a $26 token, I will get charged?

It seem strange to me to not be charged in the first 2 senarios; but charged in the second 2.

Better to keep the medals, unless you are striving to work on your tourney game or you enjoy the long sits of a tourney. I have a lot of medals because I do not participate in the freeroll.
