I just got finished reading this article here on Rakeback, and although it sounds good enough, there is one tiny bone to pick... ***sorry, I haven't been to sleep - too much time for deep thinking ***

In the article it states that this strategy is especially beneficial to the online player. I can't help but wonder...did the author assume that all players online are good players and would adhere to the actions prophesized by the article?

I mean granted, Greg Raymer practiced this strategy, and now he's known as a poker icon. I don't think one person will dispute that fact. BUT...I have actually implemented this strategy quite frequently without even knowing there was even a name for it...LOL But, 90% of the time, the other players at the table do NOT adhere to the actions mentioned in the article.

I think, in my own personal opinion, that online poker is mass-advertised on television as a learning tool for new players, and thus, many of the players online now do not even know the underlying skills and aspects of the game (i.e. pot odds, outs, etc.). Having said this, one cannot assume that any one strategy can be more profitable or suitable for online play than the next. I don't think any of us could be so fortunate as to have a tournament or even a single table filled with nothing but experienced players, in order to successfully implement any particular strategy.

What are your thoughts??? I'm curious to see everyone's varied opinions on this.
