This should be interesting to see the various responses....I had fun trying to decide what I'd do myself as I was writing this LOL

SCENARIO:

You are only 1 table away from the final table of a poker tournament. You are in commanding position and have the chip lead at your table. All the other players have shown you respect since you've been very tight/aggressive and have played very disciplined poker. But by this point, your nerves are really starting to kick in.

Blinds are 5,000/10,000; You sit pretty with 330,000, while the next largest stack is 200,000.

You are on the button and have been dealt A Q. and only call. All players fold except the BB, who raises 30,000 of his last remaining 130,000. He's shown occasional bluffs now and then...But not often. You're heads-up, you like the call here, so you do.

Flop comes off: K 10 9

BB checks; He seems very poised, leaning forward a bit in his chair, and trying very hard not to be obvious about anything;
Bewildered by his odd move, you check as well....thinking perhaps he may have KK and is trying to trap...

Turn comes off: 6

The BB leads out with 80,000 bet. By this point you're frustrated with yourself. You think you should have raised pre-flop, and are wondering why you didn't raise when he checked. But, you're almost sure he's holding KK...maybe even JQ, but if so, why didn't he move all in with only 20,000 left?

You've got a royal flush draw, or at least the nut flush, IF you hit it on the river...

WHAT DO YOU DO??? Do you chance doubling him up and becoming short stacked when you're so close to the final table, or do you lay it down and wonder.........

First of all, did the button just call preflop and then the BB raised, or what because it doesn't say. But after the flop I would just put the BB all-in and take the pot there or get to see both cards with the BB all in and about 50-50 odds even if he had K-K (would still have 12 outs). Even if you lose the pot, you've still got about 200,000 in chips and are still comfortable.

In the midst of the scenario it says "you wish you had raised pre-flop..." meaning you only called.

But to cut down on confusion, I went ahead and added that you called in the beginning.

Mind you, this is not the way I would play this hand....it's just a fictitious scenario.....just something to get your marbles rolling this morning.....
