I watch other peoples chip tricks to let me know if their new to the game or not. I know how to do several, but I have acted like I didnt know how at a new casino I played at to make people think I was knew to the game.
It all works out in the end!!

I know over five variations of a single twirl trick and some different types of shuffles. I also know one spread trick, knucleroll (not very well but it's still under practice..) and this one trick I invented myself.

It starts off like a twirl, but instead of pushing the chip back in between the two finger held chips, I toss the chip in the air and catch it between the two chips. I never do this trick at any serious cash table, or if I do it, I make sure that I use the smallest chips, so I wont mind if it bounces into the stack in the middle by accident if the chips click and the flying one bounces off..

About using chiptricks.. I agree that it is a sign of spending time with poker, but then again it's not only cardplayers that know these tricks. Actually stage magicians are propably the best in this area. of sleight.

If I want to look like someone that doesnt know poker, I usually call the flop by the name of fold early in the game and vice versa later on.

This does the trick usually. I might say something even more stupid if this is just ignored.

Then the greatest moment is that when they are trying to make out if u are skilled or lucky, I take out the chiptricks.

Some looks are very well worth the effort and all the bad things u might get about your game are just wiped out. (Of course this means that u gotta win something to make this look convincing. if u dont, u can take it since everyone thinks of u as a fish anyway. )

I need video to show this one throwing trick. I'm not sure how am I going to approach this problem.

I like talking about them too.

And to learn new ones or even invent some. (Although I think anything I invent has been invented already by someone..)
