Do you keep notes on players online? If so, what is an example of the notes you keep?

i do keep notes if its a slow game (when they take ages to make a move) & I'm bored with the game.I used to try & write something in cash tourney's or sit"n"go's but i find its a distraction, writing when i should be concentrating on how everyone on the table is playing.

Now when i do make a note its usually something like

FKN MORON takes half an hour to decide weather to call $20 blind "or"
FKN moronic donk goes all in with 5-9 off suit or raise to $1000 to steal blinds ($10-$20) "or'
Cocksucking donk got me with Q-4 off on the river "or very rarely"
Good player watch closely

Lol. I tend to relieve my anger on notes similar to these, but your's are much more creative Anyways its better to write insults like these privately on notes rather than on chat like some players do.

Writing something down about dolts might also prevent tilting, compared to just keeping it inside.

I do keep notes on other players. I use PokerAce Hud when I play, so I get most of the important info on the other players from there, but I still like to write some notes on players. The notes are fairly simple, just to let me know quickly something about them. The notes go along the lines of: "do not bluff, calling station", "TAG", leads into pots with a strong hand", "draws against odds", etc... Nothing special, I just try to keep it simple.

I always like to keep notes on particular players whenever I can get a solid read on them, and when the game is slow enough to do so. They vary quite a bit, depending on the situations I am able to get a good read on as far as any particular player is concerned. I never put a note on a player as the result of one bad hand. I have to make sure this person is continuously making the same errors before I will commit to a note on them, because poor or misinformed notes can cost you a lot of money.

Typically, some of my notes may include: "Slowplays...use caution" or "Good player...watch carefully" or "Calling station" or "Flush fish." Usually the notes tell me when a player is using a specific repetitive method, and it can be very helpful if I run into them in future games. I always update notes accordingly as well, as some players will change their methods after a while.

yea i agree, writing them privately is alot better than in the chat box,but if someone starts, i can't help myself i have fire back.(also badmouth them in the private notes, for next time just in case we meet again)

I will take simple notes on someone like strong, weak, tight, loose, not getting too specific on a particular play, just generalize some player tendencies.

I also give more descriptive negative notes on things like someone taking all of the clock for each play. I call them, "Time Donks".

I tend to look people up on OfficialPokerRankings and make a note of their star rating and percentage if they've played enough tourneys for such a statistic to be meaningful, and colour-code them according to the star rating ( <7 = green, 7 = yellow, 8 = orange, 9 = orange/red, 10 = red). So far it hasn't proved particularly fruitful, but it gives me something to do instead of playing too many hands. I make a note of the date as well, as there's no guarantee that someone who's a fish now will still be a fish in six months' time.

I am very lazy when it comes to note taking but try to make ones i feel have more value. I generally write hand examples then add to it as the tourney/cash/sng game progresses. I write in shorthand aswell which quite often results in me not being able to understand my own notes when i go in to greter detail... lol!!

I'm used to take notes a lot, even writing down the buyin a guy made on a table (I know there are 2 schools about buyins but personnally I allways buy the max on a table and I'm much more used to see donks coming with lower buyins so I take a note when a player seat with low limit and then check him carefully to have another clue).

About those notes, as soon as they keep beeing personnal they won't make any issue outside your own poker ethic but do you think a private forum with shared informations would be illegal? What about a public one?
I think a public one would make more than ethical issues personnally but wonder if there are secret forums...
