    Default Online vs Live

Share with us your thoughts on the pros and cons of Online vs. Live Play.

    Some of mine:

    Online Pros / Live Cons:

There are so many players in the card room at one time, it is easy to find many games.
Multitable, brick and morter may not allow. Can play in more than one poker room.
Do not have to worry about appearance. Lots of elbow room.
Openly discuss a hand with another without the worry of being heard (Makes for good study).
You can turn off chat and images.

Live Room Pros / Online Cons:

Can see other players, more read opportunities, no chance at a bot.
Cheating / team play more limited and controlled.
More civilized language used with punch in nose threat present.
If tilting, you can leave, once gone you can not play any more. Until you get home and play online, that is!

    Just a few thoughts, thanks

Hmmm....gotta put on my thinking cap now

    Online PROs:

Convenient / save on gas money by playing from the comfort of home (HUGE plus - gas high here).
Multiple styles of games to choose from (i.e. Omaha, HE, Razz, Stud, etc.)
Can choose how many players you want to play with (i.e. 6 seat games, 9 seat games, etc.)
Lots of free rolls to choose from (depending on the site)
Can choose SNG, MTT or cash games, or play one of each all at once!
Low buy-in games available if desired.
Easy to see/watch all the players at the table.
If you have a bad go of things, you can get up and choose another table.
    Player Notes are helpful.
Thanks so many early all ins, the tourneys don't last as long as they would live. (lol)
I can smoke, eat, drink, whatever I want while I play.
Easy to see all the cards on the board.

Okay that's all I can think of off the top of my head for that....now the cons....

    Online CONS:

CONS being the operative word, there are a lot of cheaters online.
If your power goes out, you're screwed. LOL
Lots of software out there such as trackers, calculators etc.
Much more loose / inexperienced players than live.
Tourney breaks are only 5 minutes long...would like to see 10 minute breaks...but not a big issue.
Random number generators don't always appear to be so "random."
Some traditional poker rules don't always apply online, requiring a change in play vs. your usual live style.

    Live PROS:

The quality of players tends to be much better than online.
It's easy to pick up physical tells on players.
You'll never see 50 all-ins on the first few hands of a live tournament LOL
Electronics are not allowed at the poker table, except music players.
There are strict rules for ettiquette to be followed or you get the boot.
Chip shuffling is much easier when you don't have to click a mouse LOL

    Live CONS:

Just as you can see the tells of others, they can ALSO see YOURS...
Spend a lot in gas to get to the casino depending on how far you have to go to play.
There's always that one drunk person that's being loud and obnoxious.
Once you get up, you're done...unless you want to wait 3 hours on the waiting list to get back in, that is.
If you came to play with a friend, you can't give them any money from the table...not even cash.
They don't allow smoking in the pit anymore.
Depending on what you want to play, your looking at a minimum buy-in of $200 and that's if you are just asking to lose.
Depending on where you sit, it can be hard to see all the cards on the board.
It can be hard to see or focus on all the players at the table.

Okay this is all for now I may add a few things later but right now I need to get some lunch!
I see you talking but all I hear is blah blah blah

I would think that more inexperienced players online would be a pro.
