For all the new folks that are just learning and don't really know the outs, odds, percentages, etc...

There are a few simple things that can help you with your initial hand selection.

For example, some people just LVE suited cards...any two...as long as they're suited...this is not a good way of thinking, and can cost you dearly.

When you are dealt two suited cards, ask yourself this simple question:

"Would I play this hand if it weren't suited?"


Another thing, if you are having a tough time deciding to call with a hand you are holding, try asking yourself this:

"If I call this hand, am I willing to call a raise with it as well?"
