A really really interesting book that I havn't seen mentioned yet is

Touranment Poker for Advanced Players by David Sklansky. That's another very good book and it even talks about EV situation involving modern touranment structure payouts and play.
I just won $50 from you, that you could have used, to buy food, but you can't now!

Some parts of the books don't make alot of sense but the majority of the book does

Another REALLY good book is Small Stakes Hold'em (can't remeber the authors by they are 2+2 people). It really advanced my Limit abilities!!

    Miller, Sklansky, and Malmuth.

Edit: It's a fantastic book especially if you're playing in weak games with lots of loose action.
I get no respect. . . when I move all-in, people from other tables call.

There is quite an assortment of poker books out there, especially now that poker has become 'mainstream'.
I think any books by Sklansky and Harrington are worth a read.
Also, there is The Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide.

    Enjoy!

Default Do you really need a book?

I can personally say that I have never read a book on how to play poker.
The best way to learn and win is to play and write your own book.

Influence can be read like a book.
