Default When To Fold & When To Stay In & Why I Love Poker!

There has been so many times when I have folded the winning hand. 80% of the time I fold if people start betting crazy before the flop 20% of the time I will stay in if they bet reasonablily and only if I see the flop and know my hand is a possible winner. I have taught myself how to read people even on-line poker, if they bet on the turn and I got my hand on the flop thats when I take them in and take them down. But it doesn't always go that way sometimes it bites me in the bum and they have trapped me. Thats why I love poker the most is because its unpredictable and loads of fun

If you are tracking all folds and then matching on some flops, you have to forget about that. You should fold more than you play, especially when at a full table. Yes many times, you will fold a 'what do I do' hand and the flop will hit it perfectly. You made your decision before the outcome was known, stick with it. Even if you play 7-2 off every hand, you will still flop the occasional boat or even quads, but that does not mean you made the wrong move by folding it before the monster appeared.

I do agree it is a little painful when you have a decent hand, fold to a raise and a couple of callers or even a re-raise, just to find out you would have won if you stuck around. You just have to keep playing your game, do not get caught up in the fever of what may have been. There will be other hands to get your stack built.

    Bye

Dont forget the once in a lifetime Straight Flush with the 27o, I actually got in for free that hand in the BB, thats a nice hand, maybe I will post it soon.

I agree with this statement 100% Results Oriented Thinking is saying "oh, if i would have called the $100 bet, i would have hit and won" If you would like to play more hands because you hit your hand after you fold, take a step back, light some money on fire, and then step back into your Holdem game, try to not play like that.

I agree with the above posts. I do still think Sweet has a great attitude toward the game tho...

I enjoy the attitude of sweet as well, it IS fun. To me, even the mundane boring grind of the cash games keep me interested.

LOL yeah it can be pretty tedious at the cash tables sometimes, but the motivation is watching your BR grow

Even when I lose I have won here and there but not much I have won $3.00 in total in a month or so and it is now gone lol But I keep learning more and more everyday! Thank you very much all for your pointers also, I'm sure if i keep playing the way I am I will get somewhere sooner or later! Hope to make more posts soon!
