Default Did I make the Right Move?

I was recently in a tight 3/6 limit ring game online. Only 2, players out of 9 were seeing the flop. I was dealt AQs, AQos twice, KQs and KJos in the first 12 hands or so. Not once did I get any help from the flop.

I bet the turn once with 2 overcards, but folded the rest instead of chasing my lone overcard. I lost the equivalent of 14 small bets but felt I could have lost 2-3 times as much if I bet/called to the river.

My opponents, none pre-flop raisers had no problem betting into me, as I had raised pre-flop in 4 of the 5 hands. All were heads-up scenarios.

My question is: Did I do the right thing by folding rather than "gambling to see the outcome of all 5 board cards? I didn't feel I was going to push any of them off their hands and not knowing anything else about these players, I was in the dark. I would imagine I lost to cards like J9 and Ace/rag

I could be wrong, but just judging by the play you've mentioned as far as the other players goes, it sounds like you were playing on Full Tilt, because I have found the players there to be VERY aggressive and love to see the river. I think you played "safe" which in this situation probably was the best for your bankroll. It sounds like you were getting the cards, but not the flops. Limit is tricky because you can't really force an opponent out, so a lot of times you just have to take your chances...but doing that too much can be devastating to your bankroll.

I always say patience is key in order to make progress. You can't start second guessing yourself just because your hands aren't hitting. Just keep playing your game, being very selective with your starting hands, and it will pay off in the long run. I have found it's a good investment to be selective because in my experience, the one big pot won makes up for all the little bits lost leading up to it.

You lost a little, granted, but you could've lost a lot more trying to chase or bluff at something that wasn't there, when your opponent quite likely had an actual hand.
I see you talking but all I hear is blah blah blah

U did the right thing, In my opinion. After all in the long run, u'd be losing with the chasing. If u have 2 overcards and the flop is all small cards, it's pretty bad odds to hit your two cards. 6 outs on turn is 24% and on the river, 13% so youd have to get a lot of callers to make it +EV

In the case of all the people calling the minimum bet, and not reraising it, U'd be looking at a situation where you might want to take part in the pot with overcards.

The flop is a the place, in my opinion, where you should decide if your hand is worth playing.

Well by all means stick to where you are most comfortable. I will never knock someone for their site preference. Since you seem to play a lot of limit games, perhaps Full Tilt offers better limit games than no-limit games. Since my forte' is no-limit, I find I am not comfortable on Full Tilt.
