Default 2012: The end of the Internet?

I came across this on another forum. I Power

If this is really all true it's scary. The video is kind of long but there's a very important message. Basically, the jist of it is that all major internet providers are supposedly secretly meeting to make the internet more like a television medium by 2012. This means that we will no longer just be able to go to any site that we want to at will. We will have to pay for a subscription to be able to access just a small number of mainstream sites. Think of the thousands, perhaps millions of websites that will disappear if this happens. Also, think about how the powers that be can manipulate information even further if freedom of access is severely limited.

Hmm.....well I also hear that according to the Aztec and Incan Calendars the world as a whole is supposed to end on December 21st, 2012....one freakin day before my birthday, go figure So, if it's true about the internet, then if the world ends at the same time I guess it won't matter much LOL

Wasn't the internet along with basically all computers supposed to be shot to hell on the Millenium?
Limit poker is a science, but no-limit is an art. In limit you are shooting at a target. In no-limit, the target comes alive and shoots back at you.

LOL Yep that whole Y2K thing was just a ploy for all the big names like Microsoft to kick off some much needed (yet useless) software and make up for their previous losses LOL I wasn't one of the people who fell for it, thankfully.

If this happens, it will be the worst Winter Solstice EVER!

Hopefully, it's symbolic of a "new beginning" for this planet of ours.

    Default poker millions

My avatar is a symbol of the Mayan, so I had a strong desire to comment. The Mayan are an interesting culture but they were not good poker players.

Something strange will happen as it does almost every single day. The 2012 bit is just futurama-drama

Scienitifically, we are on an end of a 25,000 +/- year orbit in our galaxy. Time will tell and the world will still turn after we are all gone.

We here at Rakeback forum must be more concerned with winning our poker millions! $$$$$$$

If we have to get together in person and play, let's do it!

Buildmo I know what you are saying I don't think they mean the Literal World will end, but more like some catastrophic event will happen to change it so drastically that mankind may cease to exist. But yes, the world itself is many many millions of years old, so it's not likely to go anywhere anytime soon.....we, on the other hand, are expendable.

Many cultures believe many different "dooms day" prophecies, but between the Mayan, Incan, Aztec, and other Native American tribes, both North and South American, they all seem to point to the same general time frame....which you can't help but wonder....how all these peoples of such great distance could come up with such closely related estimates. It's very interesting and puzzling....
