Okay so I was reading through a poker book earlier and I found a funny error that made me wonder.....was this person really thinking when they wrote this?
Here is the comment that made me laugh:
"If you are holding an A-K and the flop is A-A-K, you know that there is absolutely nothing that can hit that board to hurt your hand. You cannot be beat - and, oh, what a wonderful feeling!"
I laughed because the statements that "nothing can hit the board to hurt your hand " and "You cannot be beat" is simply false, false, false.
The author did not consider the possibility of an opponent holding something like JJ, and the turn and river both come off Jacks, then you are going to be beat by four of a kind. LOL
Anyway, although it's a rare and slim chance, it's still a very real possibility for Aces full to get beat, especially when newer players are involved because they sometimes simply cannot fold any pocket pair no matter how much it costs them to stay in, and those would be the ones to luck out with the four of a kind.

I see you talking but all I hear is blah blah blah
