Whenever I sit down at a new table, or a new player sits down at my table, I run a search to see which players are multitabling. The reason being, the more tables they play, the tighter the hand selection will be. This is certainly an important clue as to where you stand during a particular hand, as you can bet in position after a check or play a hand more cautiously when forced with a decision as to whether to call a bet.

Although I agree much of the time, I must say that the multi-tablers can also be the easiest money at the table because they are the most distracted. There are not that many people that have yet mastered the art of concentration while multi-tabling

Don't rely on that TOO much because if you do, you will be broke I've seen wild 4-tablers, i'm seen maniacs play 3 tables at once, Seen rocks at 4 tables. You will not run across just one type of player (although a good portion are one type) when you see them multi-table. You need to judge on a case by case basis.

See how they are playing and adjust accordingly when they enter the pot.

Alright let me clarify....When I see people on the higher level of the multi tabling scale, say 6 plus, their ranges clearly tend to be far smaller than the person playing a single table or just a few. Initially it is important to watch them play a hand to showdown to observe their betting tendancies. Many times they will simply fold their small blind or their big blind to a minimum raise (small profit but it can add up). They tend to play hands much more straightforward and predictably (ie. pot sized betting the flop when they hit or half the pot when the board scares them). Of course no player plays the same and this isn't a rule but it is a tendancy that I like to exploit and have done with success.

I am one of those few people who can Multi table. I can have both cash games and tournaments going at once, all different types too. Thats just the person I am. Granted I'm no Hevad Kahn (sp?) and I can't play over 20 at once or whatever, but I usually can play 2-6 tables at once all knowing the people at my table, getting reads on those people, and I can even bluff while Multi-tabling. So don't rely on that fact too much, because there are a select few people who know how to multi.

try it I adjust very well to how people play and can still be aggressive I've had PLENTY of people try to play opposite of me, and still lose badly

But yes people will make some money regardless due to varience! *sigh*....I'm with Phil hellmuth, if there wasn't luck, I'd win every game

LOL, alright I guess my point is to mix up your play and not develop an identifyable patterns in your game if you do multi table. And if you are looking to pick off multi tablers who do have patterns, there are many to be had, especially at the lower limits. Just one thing that can make one's game more profitable...

This is probably generally true, and I also think that most multitablers tend to be more aggressive also. I play up to 6 tables depending on the site and have a somewhat loose range. So it all depends on the player. I have seen some players that multitable and will only bet when they hit and won't even c-bet that often because they are playing too many tables. This is something that you should be watching out for and taking advantage of.
