I thought I would ask how everyone supports their poker play? I am a stay at home mom right now but my husband has a really good job as an auto technician so there is usually a little extra money around to play some cards.

Personally I am software developer which I have been since 1989. I could certainly put more money in my bankroll through my salary but have chosen to instead grind my way up the limits in order to earn the discipline needed. At least that is what I am telling myself

Oh yes, never underestimate the value of grinding your way up. Pointless to move up if you can't beat your current limit. Gambling or poker, poker or gambling.Originally Posted by Verndroid
I worked a few years as a software quality controller for a firm that developed eLearning platforms. After that I somehow drifted to online poker, and ended up grinding fixed limit hold'em 2 years for a living. In fall 2004 I entered the rakeback business, and have been on that road since.

Work in telecoms industry for the past 10 years in Denmark and Germany.
I do computer adminstration at a tech company.. looks like a lot of techies are out playing the online games..
I try to finish my studies at law school so that I can have a degree to be a full time poker player lol. At the moment I focus on developing Rakeback.com.
I am a helpdesk tech right now. Hoping to move up in the IT field. 24 yrs old.
I'm working as an IT engineer and spend most of the time online looking for faults/errors/intrusions to our network systems. I have a lot of time free because of that
Im currently in school but im also a freelance writer and web designer. I am also into domain selling / buying. Basically work from home I guess.
I work full time in retail management. I have been doing it for several years and decided that since I needed a hobby I might as well take up poker. I am having a great time working hard by day and playing hard at night.
We're a two income family, no kids, so we have some discretionary $$ to play with. I'm a CPA, probably one of the few in my office who enjoys poker. At least, no one else is talking about it!![]()
Currently working part time at a pet store. Most of time I still in classes. It is fun but I enjoy playing poker when I have free time. I usually play when I am taking a break from studying or when I am avoiding doing something I don't want to do.
I work for a telephone company in a call center. I don't have too much time to go playing at the casino so I play online. It is convenient for me. I also spend a lot of time on the computer so I feel comfortable playing online. Once in agreat while I will get together with my friends and have a poker game, but its not too often.
I work at home for a paramed company collecting medical records for insurance companies, it is great and I love being at home.
I work as an assistant manager at a restaurant. I have three kids, so I don't have a lot of spare change to play cards, but when I have a few dollars I like to sit down and have fun.
I work as a marketing director for a psychology corp. Its a full time job really. I get paid on a per customer basis so in order to have my extra change to throw around onto the poker table I need to hustle and get at least one more customer a week. It beats a 9 to 5 job.![]()
Most recently working for a local grocery store. I love all the customers and helping them with their questions and needs. I do not like the way management is run but that is not up to me. The customers are the only upside to the job. and the meager $ helps out too.
Not working, unemployed, student![]()
own a small roofing company located in florida and yes i get up on the roof every day Hot job !
guess thats the prices for quiting high school but i know alot of people that quit school and dont make 4-5k month after paying help!
I do nothing right now. I used to play poker for a living. Now I'm just lazy and play golf all day. Rough, rough, life.
