Default Sometimes I am such a fish that I make myself sick

    0: MP2: $6.26
    1: MP3: $9.05
    2: CO: $2.62
    3: Button: $24.90
    4: SB: $28.95
    5: BB: $11.19
    6: UTG: $11.41
    7: UTG+1: $3.52
    8: Hero: $9.85

    Dealt: 7 7

SB posts $0.05, BB posts $0.10, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 5 folds, BB calls $0.20

    FLOP: 9 Q 5 (Pot: $0.65)

BB checks, Hero bets $0.50, BB raises to $1.00, Hero calls $0.50

    TURN: 9 Q 5 5 (Pot: $2.65)

BB bets $0.10, Hero raises to $0.80, BB raises to $1.65, Hero calls $0.95

    RIVER: 9 Q 5 5 8 (Pot: $5.95)

BB bets $4.75, Hero calls $4.75

Honestly, at what part in this hand (after the flop) can I believe I am good here? And instead of just losing $0.80 to figure that out... I go ahead and lose $7.80 on this one hand. The BB had a much larger hand than you'd expect in this spot (he had QQ) but even if he had 9-2, I was beat on the flop and should have been able to let it go.

But wait, there's MORE!!! I wasn't done being a total and complete fish.

    2: MP1: $10.25
    3: CO: $21.41
    4: Button: $41.34
    5: SB: $10.11
    6: BB: $10.31
    7: UTG: $18.58
    8: Hero: $9.30

    Dealt: Q Q

SB posts $0.05, BB posts $0.10, UTG calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.50, MP1 calls $0.50, 1 fold, Button calls $0.50, 3 folds.

    Flop: 4 3 2 (Pot $1.75)

Hero bets $1.75, 1 fold, Button raises to $3.50, Hero raises all-in to $7.05, Button calls $5.30.

Of course he has A 5 .. Ok... I do not feel bad about this one. This player was a maniac and would have done the same thing with K-3 in this spot. And I was committed on this flop for my stack-size and the size of the pot. Still that hurt... another refill.

But wait, there's MORE!!! I STILL wasn't done being a total and complete fish.

    0: SB: $6.79
    2: BB: $9.53
    4: UTG: $55.03
    5: MP1: $9.09
    8: Hero: $11.18

    Dealt K J

SB posts $0.05, BB posts $0.10, UTG raises to $0.30, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.30, 1 fold, BB calls $0.20

    FLOP: K Q 7 (Pot $0.95)

BB checks, UTG bets $0.95, Hero raises to $2.85, 1 fold, UTG calls $1.90

I actually like my line here on the flop. I don't call a pre-flop raise (5 handed) with KJs to just call or fold when I hit top pair with my hand. This is the same villain from the hand above and he's certainly not sure to have a better King in this spot.

    TURN: K Q 7 6 (Pot $6.65)

    UTG checks, Hero checks

This is where I fail to follow through. I should have... but I didn't.

    RIVER: K Q 7 6 Q (Pot $6.65)

UTG moves all-in for $51.08, Hero calls all-in for $8.03

I mean... what am I calling here for? Do I hate money? At the time I reasoned that this player could be moving here with a worse King or a 7 as a bluff... but I doubt that's ever reasonable. Of course he had the Q... and I'm refilling again.

Note: As badly as I played these hands... dropping $29, at one point, on this table... my overall session for the night had an $8.63 profit for a 14.3BB/100 winrate. I was two tabling and did well on the other table and then managed to recoup the majority of the losses from this one table in a few hands where I didn't play like a fish.

But could you imagine if I didn't pay off those retarded hands? Even if we accept that I go broke with those Qs on the 2-3-4 flop... I'd have an extra $15 in wins for the night... almost tripling my wins. Man... that burns me up.

    Oh well...
I get no respect. . . when I move all-in, people from other tables call.

The first one you have no excuse for. Reraising the turn gave you the info you needed. you got reraised again. Call the min turn raise ( pot odds ) hope to spike riv 7, But riv Big bet was best folded (4.75 ). There isn't a card on the board you can beat and can be pretty sure that after that turn reraise your no good. You made the wrong read is all, Only because of that persons play at the table, you were tilting, or you had it out for that particular guy, is my guess. We all do it though.

The rest of em are not that bad. even the last one I believe your check wasnt that bad poker play wise. He raised preflop and a Jack kicker isnt the greatest. He called a big reraise there and had ya worried. Sure a continution bet might have taken it down, A 6 spades turn would have made it easier but all in all I don't think being cautious there was a bad play just an unlucky one.

And at least you got it back is the best part.

I agree only the 1st was sorta bad, the 2nd one .v. maniac player was just a cooler bro!

Fishy would be this guy. HU cash, 3-betting me super light, shown down T5o, 32o and 83s for some of his 3bets, stuck about $30 to me. All in on a DRAW with 1 card to come at what point do you say "omg he just re-raised me 3x my bet, does he have a 4 or boat? am I virtually drawing dead?" Fish!

Lol sick... all in on a flush draw with one card to come and not even a pair AND a paired board already!? Yeah, I'm with you on that one being a fish.

    Default Here's A Winner

I was playing at UB yesterday, and was at the table 4 minutes. Action folds around to me w/A3 so I take a stab and raise in late position to $1 to test the waters. Only the BB calls. The [miracle] flop: 245 for a wheel. You read the rest....

I only wish he had had more money. I swear, five (5) minutes later I had AA and stacked the same guy again for $15 more. He was on tilt from this hand and wanted revenge. Mental Note: play smart, not to try to get back at anyone.
If you always stop while you're ahead, you'll never lose.
