What exactaly is a bad beat? I know it is a loss, and it involves money. But someone said it's only bad depending on how you lost no matter how much money was involved. If so what is a prime example of a bad beat.

There is no exact definition of bad beat. Usually one is though a hand where you have a very strong lead and get beat against odds.
Bad beats are not about how much money you lose.
Many bad beats in a row can make players go on tilt.
