This is the first one that I have been nominated for that I almost certainly will not be able to participate in. I have a helicopter flight lesson on Sunday. Thanks for the nomination though! Good luck to all.
If it gets canceled because of weather though, I'll be here.

Thanks Rakeback for this Invite. I look forward to playing everyone in this tournament. Lets see if I really can cash in this PLO event.

I might be able to make this one. I might not. I'm going to run with some family members to a store.

If I miss it, I won't be too sad. PLO is my least favorite tournament game anyway.
I get no respect. . . when I move all-in, people from other tables call.

Who ended up cashing in this?
My helicopter flight didn't get cancelled, so I was busy doing that today.

    Default Thanks for the freeroll

Ya, finished 3rd, got $20, but didn't stick around to see the winner.
I was pretty much short stacked thoughout the game, but cashed!
Felt like a home game! Some craziness, but relaxed play.

I took 2nd to lilady, (happy to say). The key hand:

We were both about even stacks (I had her covered by around 500 chips with 10k in chips in play). I was in the BB with Pocket Aces. She limped from the button, and I min raised (stupid move in PLO, I know, but the raise button wacked out on me and I wanted to raise something). So the flop comes out something like 679 rainbow. 600 in the pot, and I raise 450. Lilady re-raises me for about 1/3 the stack size (I forgot), and I think to myself 'Damn, does she really have that straight? Two pair? Set? Is my Pocket Aces no good?' while thinking this, I was also trying to think if my instincts were right on that hand, because sometimes I have a gut feeling that is totally wrong. So I decided to not listen to my gut feeling (another huge mistake on my part) and I moved all in. She insta called and turned over the flopped straight. I was down to a little over 500 in chips vs. her 9.4k in chips. Needless to say, I got $30 and she took home the big $50. Gg all.

Yep it was a fun game for sure...the strangest PLO game I think I've ever played LOL I had to giggle because so many people were trying to play 4 card holdem instead of Omaha hehehe Like pocket As is not as good of a hand in Omaha as it is in Holdem...sowwies!!!!! I thought you knew!!!!

Anyway, I was glad to see gamer cash second tho...he's been overdo for a good finish in the ptotw for a while, and I was overdo for a win for sure . Also bravo to Buildmo for taking home 3rd.

Well I know Pocket Aces aren't that good in Omaha, espically in that board, but when it gets down to heads up, that is about the time that I start to listen yo my instincts about half the time, because I listen to them all the time to get there, and I think my instincts are only right about 75% of the time. But trust me, I know how to play Omaha, I once took home 1st in a FTP 2,400 man freeroll, game: Limit HORSE.

Can't wait to see what the next game is, as I love these mixed games in the PTOTW games.

Ah okay cool see that's what I thought with you being such an avid HORSE player I figured you had to know what u were doing lol Anyway, it was definitely an odd-ball game and I don't blame you for second guessing your gut in that instance...although when it comes to me, if I bet or raise big, then you can pretty much rely on whatever your instincts tell you I have is probably right because I don't believe in bluffing heads up...it's useless LOL

Yeah, but I have called some people down with bottom pair no kicker Heads Up before to win the title when my instincts were telling me to fold it right then and there as he shoved in and I wasn't getting the right odds to call if I was behind. But it's the weired thing I have when I enter full table tourneys, if I get to heads up, I second guess myself and I'm usually right.

Yeah, kind of figured that out a little bit too late.

Bty, played a HU tourney right after this one, $5 to enter, Turbo with 38 people in it. I got a free bye into 2nd round (until it was down to 32), and took home 3rd for $20 - $5.50 entry fee = $14.50 profit. But I would have gotten more, but the suckout I took was HORRIBLE!

I won't put the whole detailed description down, but basically, blinds are really high (like 150/300 or somewhere around there) and I get JJ in the BB. I have the opponent out chipped by a little over 500 chips with 4k in chips at play, and he moves all in. He rarely moves all in pre flop like this, so I decide to call expecting a coin flip when he turns over AJ. Flop is an Ace, and needless to say, I did not hit my 1 outer. Was crippled, and could not recover after that. But my friend was watching me and calling me up asking questions like: 'Did you have the 3 for a wheel? What did you have that last hand? Why are doing that instead? Did you have this? That?' etc. I played with just my gut instinct this time in the tourney and I found out that I have to listen to myself 100% of the time now HU no matter what. Took a big lesson from lilady and the HU tourney, but I learned to trust my gut instinct now.

Oh well, I don't come to the forum every day and even less on weekends but here I am to see that I missed another PTOTW freeroll.

I noticed the pm was sent out on Thursday. Can you push it back a week maybe? It gives us more time to see the invite on the site as well as more time to plan for it as I can almost guarantee you that by Thursday most of my weekends are booked.

Omahahahaha huh? damn one of my faves. My luck, by the time I actually get to play one of these FR's it'll be a game I don't know lol
