What started you in Poker playing?

I got into poker after seeing this:



I've been severely disappointed ever since.

I got into it because I was (am still) really bad and was addicted to gambling. I wanted to get better and make money.

even though i didn't really start playing regular until about 18 months ago, it was rounders that got me interested in it.

i played occasionally with friends in the pub , the odd pub tournament and the odd casino.then betfair sent me some free chips to play at their site. now i'm hooked and will probably play for the rest of my life.

i rarely play live now though. i played n a pub tournament after drinking for the whole day a month back. it was torture. blinds up every 15 minutes , 10 seats at a table and at least 4 to a flop. if anyone can tell me how to beat that with continual 62 o go right ahead

i did deal a royal flush that night. the guy who had it had never played poker and thought he had a straight........
