Default Are you Better at Cash Games or Tourneys?

Here's a question I've been meaning to ask. I'm curious to see whether you are better in cash games or tounaments. I see posts where players say they rarely play cash games and almost always play tourneys, and vise versa. I presume players play most where they make more money.

So, are you better in cash games or tourneys? Please VOTE and if you have time, leave a comment to explain why you find you do better there too.

I am about the same. Nothing special here, I just know basic Tournament strategy and basic Cash Game strategy.

I seem to be better at cash games. Of course, I don't play many tournies, so that could be why. I'm not that great with tournament strategy, and have never really been that successful which caused me to stick to cash games, which I have had much more success.

I am much better in cash games, as I have really only read cash game books, I started to focus more on them.

About like gamer...pretty close to the same...I'd say 60% cash / 40% tourneys most of the time, but it flip-flops...used to be 80% / 20%, but practice and literature make all the difference over time.

I see you talking but all I hear is blah blah blah

By far cash games. I can't seem to adjust my play well enough to tourneys, as in I tend to use same strategies and moves I do in cash games, and the two are completely different worlds. Altough, I did manage to catch my first big tournament win in a $15 buy-in tourney with 70 or so players. I mostly play tournament for fun and to pass time, haven't really concentrated on them much except while playing of course. I make my earnings from cash games, and probably always will. I don't see myself getting into tournament play.
Limit poker is a science, but no-limit is an art. In limit you are shooting at a target. In no-limit, the target comes alive and shoots back at you.

When I first started playing, it was tournaments. Then I had a period where I was much more successful at cash games. Now I seem to be favoring tournaments a bit. So I guess I have to say about the same. Lol, I think it depends on what style I'm reading about and thinking about at the time.

At the moment I'd say tournaments, my results speak for themselves. Hardly play cash games though so couldn't say for sure!

    Default Not Sure

I play far more tournaments because I enjoy them even though I seem to win more money at the cash games. I have been telling myself to play more cash games but always tend to lean toward the tourneys. Since I do not make my living off of poker and maintain the bankroll quite well, I play the games that make me happy, which has been the tournaments.

    Bye,

I don't know why, but for some reason I tend to not do well as consistently in cash games...is it because I play more hands then I should?

hmm hard one. Cash games are my beard and butter for BR (when I am playing) but Tournies is where I make a good portion of my roll (again when I am playing, on a break until my house sells lol). Soo I would say I play tournies better online than online cash but not as good as I play live cash which isn't as good as my live tourney play
I just won $50 from you, that you could have used, to buy food, but you can't now!
