What Does it Mean to Get Called a Donk in Poker
So you've been called a donk at a poker table, and wonder what it means? Donk is short for donkey, an animal with a reputation in being stubborn and a bit slow. In poker donk can mean an insult towards you not being very skilled or playing in an unthinking fashion.
Should you be worried about being called a donk? Nah. Most of the time its just trash talking and your opponents are trying to heat you up. And remember that real life donkeys are also known for their powerful kick and bites, and appear to be quite intelligent. So just keep your head cool and play your best poker, and in the end they'll see who is the actual poker donk.
