    Default Interesting Poker Test

I took the most interesting interactive poker test online a little while ago. The results they gave me were pretty accurate...I was surprised honestly LOL

All it was, was a poker table set up with different players with names specific to or hinting at their playing style. There were a set number of hands to play through and different hand types in different positions. It was not a tournament style test, but rather a cash game test, which I found intriguing hence why I took the test to begin with.

Anyway, here are the results the test gave me:

    Dear Erica,

Thank you for taking the Free No Limit Hold'em Cash Game Test. Your PokerIQScore is 92.8349. Our analysis engine reports the following overall details about your game:

The greatest overall strength in your game is Bluffing. You are better than 86.79% of all people in this area. You have the ability to profit significantly from this skill. Continue to take advantage of it!

The greatest overall area for improvement in your game is Adjusting for Position.

I am completely in agreement with the results this test gave me. I've been out of the loop for so long now (since the ban) I've let my positional decision making skills get rusty. The reason, I think, is because I simply haven't played any cash games in a really long time, so most of my positional execution is made in tournament play, which is quite different than the cash game environment.

So they were pretty well on-point with this analysis, and I agree with the need for improvement where position is concerned, in case I ever do decide to take up cash games again...but that's not likely to happen until they decide to legalize online poker once and for all in the US and in Kentucky.

Just thought this was an interesting test and thought I'd share about my experience with it. I think this is the first test that was actually FUN to take.

I see you talking but all I hear is blah blah blah

I'd be interested in taking that test. Do you have a link to it that you can post?

Make that one more person who wants to take this test.
Want a real challenge? PM me about the Chris Ferguson challenge! (which I can now say I have completed myself!)

Please don't post the link to the poker test. I get tested every day in the real poker rooms: I already know my score! F as in Farewell, cash!

Anyone that wants the link to the test may PM me and I will give it to you there. I cannot post it here because the site that runs this test also advertises and might be a competitor with Rakeback *I don't know*, so I don't want to take my chances.

Thanks for link lilady. Much more fun than donkeytest. If only I could have 50 hands like that at the real tables

Thank you for taking the Free No Limit Hold'em Cash Game Test. Your PokerIQScore is 115.7378. Our analysis engine reports the following overall details about your game:

The greatest overall strength in your game is Turn Play. You are better than 97.11% of all people in this area. You have the ability to profit significantly from this skill. Continue to take advantage of it!

The greatest overall area for improvement in your game is River Play

I'm satisfied with that considering it's 3 30am in UK and already finished playing for the night. I guess my value bets should've been shoves and I'm also guilty of donking off 200 to pro peter when I knew full well his smallish bets were a set, oh well

Cool...I think it would be cool if anybody that takes it posts their results and whether or not they agree or disagree with the analysis.

It was funny because at one point during the test I decided I was going to test the reactions of the other "players" by shoving all in 5 times in a row, just to see if they were typical computers that would fold every time LOL Well, they didn't, they all folded 3 times, but twice I got at least one caller...so then I realized "okay, these bots are smarter than the average bot" so I decided to treat them like I would any other player. Some of the names make it easy to pick out their playing style, but a few of the others are not as easy.

I'm thinking now maybe if I hadn't decided to test the creativity of their bots, I might have gotten a different score LOL Whether it would have gone up or down I'll never know. But ya know, that's what made it fun for me LOL Maybe I'll go try it again, minus the all ins, since now I know they actually do react according to their hand and position. lol

I'll be taking this tomorrow and I'll post my results. I'm getting ready to be able to go to bed and I'm on 2.5 hours of sleep, so it'll have to wait. I'm looking forward to it though.

considering i almost never play cash games, i'd say the lack of strategic play is spot on. i played the same as i'd play a tournament.

I'll go ahead and spam the link myself They don't seem to be that much a direct competitor. Its a poker training website, and they use that test to reel in subscriptions.

Took the test and got 121. The analysis is quite accurate, have to say.

i'll play you heads up then baby soup ( its all in th estrategy )

not bad, getting right amount for value bets on river and getting paid max when winning is what lets me down.

think test would have been better if wasn't instant action, e.g. waiting times for players to make decisions would help you make yours. it was a bit too automatic based on the names. although obviously this would make the test last much longer so i guess they are keeping it quick and simple.

    nice test though

I got a 130, I didn't store my score and get the email though because I don't know if the site will be spamming my email when I don't sign up.

    Your PokerIQScore™ is 112

I also didn't enter the email so I don't have a detailed review.

But that isn't as high as I would have liked. Still, I am learning... so I know I'm not the best. I also knew I made a couple mistakes during the test but I tried to play as if I were really at the table.
I get no respect. . . when I move all-in, people from other tables call.
