Default William Hill steals your money

It is well known that all online poker rooms are not honest, they
are created to steal players' money. It is enogh to look for example to
    the discussion on Answerbag.

And among worst poker rooms in this respect is the William Hill poker.
They use extensively the system of false "players", figures which
you can see at tables which do not correspond to real players, but are
just software tricks. It happens too ofthen at their tables that one of
real players gets some really good hand, put big bets but looses against
an even better hand of this false softwere thrick.

I storngly recommned to anyone not to give your money to William Hill.
It is a very corrupted room.

LMAO...I guess you mean bots, they're programmed to play predictable ABC poker and are beatable. Whether William Hill has bots on it's site I couldn't answer but to accuse them of stealing is a bit much. If you're going to make such accusations, at least have the decency to produce your evidence to make your post valid!

I've never heard of William Hill. After a quick search, it looks like WH is a British poker site, although I've not spent much time researching the issue. I would strongly recommend using one of the more popular, established poker sites such as PokerStars, FullTilt, or UltimateBet. Although you aren't guaranteed to win, you can feel confident that the folks winning your money away from you are just as real, and just plain better, than you and me!

Guess you've been living in a cave? WHy anyone would every give their business to ultimate or absolute is beyond me. Fulltilt and pstars are the only two i would use, but their are other reputable sites out there as well ie cake poker. Peace

Ultimate runs rampant with bots at the micro stakes level. Worst, Ultimate bet does nothing about it. Pokerstars has an anti-bot policy, and they actually back that up. I sent them in an e-mail about someone I suspected to be a bot, and a few weeks later, received a follow up e-mail saying their investigation showed the person was a bot and had been banned. If you are worried about bots, don't play at Ultimate. If you want to play against really easy players for pennies, play there.

I'll agree with your facts in that UB was indeed caught in a cheating scandal. I'll just point out that just because UB was caught, it doesn't mean that other sites are immune, or that cheating doesn't occur.

I've played on UB for six months, now, and enjoy both the interface and the fishy players. I haven't sensed any dishonest play in my games, but honestly, who's going to fool around at the 1/2 level, anyway? I'm not a conspiracy nut, and I don't buy that sites are "rigged." I am, however, playing with my eyes wide open. Besides, nobody needs to cheat me to get my money playing poker, trust me... I'm guessing that goes for many others, as well.

I don't live in a cave, but I do think all of us are left to trust that our games are on the up and up. What other options are there than playing in a casino, or the old home game? For those of us whom want to play often, on-line games are where it's at. Caveat emptor!

Cheats are everywhere. FullTilt took away a major title last year because the player played from two different IP address during the finals. They happened to be hundreds of miles apart. Both Stars and FullTilt are bot heavens. They are big enough for bots to operate for a while before being caught, if ever. Nothing online is totally secure, from shopping, porn surfing or poker. One must tread lightly.

Players need to be aware of the action in front of them and report any funny activity. But please, get the facts straight first, just because your AA was beaten by an inferior hand, does not mean the site or another player is cheating. Poker is chaulk filled with ebb and flow. Cheating does occur, it is up to us to find and expose it. Poker is policed by the players and it will continue to be as we need to keep our eyes and ears in tune.

As for stating all poker rooms are cheating is unfounded. There are millions of players knocking down firewalls to get to the tables. The larger rooms make soooooo much coin off of rake there is no reason to skim more, the money is pouring in as long as tables are going.

What methodology do they use to figure out if someone is a bot or not?

Here is a clipped portion of the response I got from them.

"While I cannot detail each of the tools we use to make this
determination (we don't want our methods to fall into the hands of bot
programmers who will then use that information to avoid detection), I
will say that we had this player under surveillance using these tools
prior to your report. After gathering sufficient evidence to prove the
suspicion, we did find that this player was a bot and they were barred
    from future play on PokerStars"

I did not mean bots, they are created by real people playing agains poker rooms.
I meant that software used by WH server includes a lot of false images of players which you
see at your tables but which never exist.
And software gurantee not often but big wins to these false "players".
I other words, the whole poker room plays
against real poeple and they have no chances.

An evidence for that is too many bad beats. Each of them has probability less than 1 to
10000 but they happen several times on day.

How does that happen?! Runner Runner (requiring one of 2 cards on the turn, and 1 of 1 cards on the river) isn't even 1 in 10,000.

Can you please provide a sample size of hands to back up your claims? We're talking the need for 10k at an absolute minimum. It'd be better if you could provide a few 100k to a few 1,000k though.

Ive played at William hill before and never had any problems. Played as well at Poker Stars and a great new poker place called GoWild Casino.

If you do have complaints about a casino, its always better to post your proof because im sure there are many others who have played there without problems. And similarly because YOU had a problem doesnt necessarily mean everyone else will.

Some facts/proof we can consider seriously would be welcomed and this will have greater influence on us as online poker players.

True ap and a few other sites have had incidents but just accusing sites of having bots is a first! this is a rumor thread and some of you jerks will spread it like wildfire just for kicks.

You guys are really barking up the wrong tree. Why would any poker site want to steal your few dollars when they rake in millions from every day use. Not even bots are that much of a threat. Collaberation between players on the same table is a much bigger threat. But even this is becoming more rare. Sites would lose so much more money from players not playing on there sites than from stealing from players. Just because you've had a really bad beat don't go trying to blame someone else for it.
