I was playing for my first time (legally, shhh) live on my 18th birthday at an 8/16 limit game.
I was in the bb with 2h2s and it was limped around with 6 total people in the pot. A couple of my friends were at the table, and they were all good, but the rest were just standard donk limit players.
The flop comes 2d8cQc. I was first to act and lead out, since there's been a lot of aggressive play so far. I get one call and one reraise. It gets back to me and I reraise, causing the flat caller to fold and the reraiser to reraise me once again. I decide 88 could be a reasonable hand for him so I call.
The turn is a 2c, completing the flush and giving me quads. I bet out after a few seconds thought, thinking that I was behind on the flop and that I'd get reraised for sure. To make a long story shorter, there was 28 big bets on the turn haha. 14 each. He called my last reraise and we still had probably 8 big bets left, so I was very speculative of his play by now haha.
The river brought a meaningless 6 or something. I bet and he just calls. He asks if I have 2's and I'm like "Ahhh, yeah." haha, like what else would I have, you fish? And he actually shows his hand and he flipped AcKc, claiming he thought I was "bluffing" on the turn. I look over to my friends and they have the biggest dumbfounded looks on their faces and shaking their heads haha.
All in all it was the biggest pot I've ever seen, BB-wise for limit. I don't think I'll ever forget how many stacks were in the middle on the turn, the dealer ran out of room to count everything and it was just clustered. Funniest moment in my career by far.
Think for yourself. Question authority.
