Default PTOTW #48 Week 9 Results

We had a really big turn out for the PTOTW tourney this week > 11 players. That's the most I've ever been involved with. I think the play was solid but when the blinds got big the short stacks had to start pushing. That's how it always goes. Hence some strange pushes and calls. Gamer4life27 had the big stack when play got to three handed, but as he said, the two A3 calls did him in when opponents showed aces with bigger kickers. The last hand I had 77 vs 56. Here's the top five:

    1. FullGainer
    2. Hownot2playpoker (aka phaul)
    3. Gamer4life27 (aka Plays4pizza)
    4. Dew12109
    5. Moanopoly

Thanks rakeback, we all appreciate the freerolls !
Keep up the quality posts ppl...

P.S. Only the top three places paid this week. If you wanna make it always the top 5, the players would all agree I believe. Spread it around....
If you always stop while you're ahead, you'll never lose.

But all pot odds aside, knowing everything up to that point, it was probably not the best call because you would not raise me all in pre flop like that without beating A 3 spades. Just an opinion that I knew I was beat, yet I called anyways.

We never said that you couldn't express your opinion. We were simply expressing our own.

Lol! Is Dew not allowed to disagree with you?

So, what is your opinion on what I wrote?

Actaully PHaul, your read was way off, if you noticed during the whole tourney I played minimal hands (I got caught trying to steal with Jack ten asuited and sucked out), but that was the only hand I didn't play tight.

So your range was WAY off, and I do mean WAY OFF. Look at the hand history for the entire tourney and tell me how many I played. Your read was way off and your call was horrible. Hee Haw.

Lol, I was playing elsewhere throughout so wasn't paying loads of attention to this (relatively small stakes) tourney. And actually if my range was THAT far off, then that makes you a weak/passive fish.

I am sorry, but you can not tell one person how they are reading you. That is just stupid. I can not say: "That was SO the wrong read you had on me. I was playing great poker so you should have thought I had something, yet you still called my raise with Q 4 os!? You should have guessed by my plays that I was a great player and that you should have layed that hand down to me."

Trust me, I learned that lesson A LONG time ago. No one can tell someone else how they are reading themselves because that's exactly what it is. Someone's reads on you on how they think you are playing.

And didn't he move in with less than 8x BB with Ace high PF? If so, then he made the right play because anyone who is short stacked should go in with some decent hand (even if they were card dead all night). If that is the best hand that he has seen all day then let him move in with it. Who are you to say what he should and shouldn't do as a poker player?

If you think his play was horrible, then why try to correct it? Just let him keep making those plays and sit back as eventually you will see the money flow right on in.

Bty, moving all in UTG with J 10 is not trying to steal the blinds, it's trying to go out.
