Poker Stars needs Rake Back

The title is what it is. Poker Stars needs rakeback.com/">Rake Back like Paris Hilton needs a penicillin shot.

I just discovered PS's DoN games. I cashed in my one game. It's not too hard. Wait for big hands, play them. As everybody else says, they are boring as heck, and people find it very easy to profit on them. I'll grind on these all day.

The only down side I've seen is people tend to fish out, and it takes all the thinking out for the fish that are everywhere on PS. But, a 50% pay out is awesome IMO. I look at this like I look at my workouts.

DoN games are the protein that supplements my workouts.

My point however, is if you play the micro 1.10 DoN you only pocket 90 cents if you get top 5. This is one example of why Rake Back needs to go to Poker Stars.

So you can get 2 cents more per tourney? That's massive. Plus, PokerStars has EASILY the best VIP club. If you make it, you get way more than you can make with rakeback.

Not a fan of the double or nothing tournaments. I get too bored and don't play them correctly. The only time I ever had fun with them is when I loaded 9 of them up at once.
But as far as rakeback is concerned, I think pokerstars is doing something right. Plus their rake on their ring tables doesn't seem to be as much as other sites, at least at the lower limits.

How did they "re-do" their rake? It is still 5% up to a $60 pot ($3 max), unless i am missing something.

Maybe I'm missing something. I thought FTP switched it up about a month ago. Pots were no longer for example two dollars, they were 1.98 or something like that.

So, if the example you used is correct, which it's not, you're mad about FullTilt taking 1% rake?!? FullTilt has never changed their rake. Where did you get this theory from?

Travs, can you see where I said or something like that? It was messed up. Here is what one guy posted after working it all out. It happened back in February. This is as posted by Vector space

For $.05/$.10, the rake was lowered from a previous 10%.

For $.10/$.25 it is the same percentage, but we're actually paying slightly more rake now since it is taken more frequently.

$.01 is taken for every $.20 in the pot. Previously, $.05 was taken for every $1 in the pot.

A pot of $2.55 contains 12 whole $.20 pieces or 2 whole $1 pieces. So the current rake would be $.12 while the previous rake was $.10.

The vast differences come on pots close to whole dollars. A $.75 pot was not previously raked, but now raked $.03. A $5.80 pot is now raked $.29 and previously was $.25.

In conclusion, the current rake is at a minimum the same as the previous rake or at a maximum $.04 more than the previous rake. When the max rake is $3, this doesn't seem that bad. Also, you can now customize bets at this level to the nearest $.01 instead of the nearest $.05 which is pretty cool. You can bet $6.66 if you want.

Those little differences in Full Tilt rake do help you build up FTP faster though. Before, you used to only get .05 FTP per $1 in the pot. Now you are getting .01 FTP per $.20 in the pot. So yes, a little more rounded out rake but the FTP and rakeback are more rounded out as well. I see it as a tradeoff.
