    Default Sng or Tournament HU

    Hello,

is there any tool to practise the HU game in a SnG or Torunament?
I play sometimes SnG (but usually FR CashGame)
As i was Stackleader in a SnG i had some difficulties to finish it because i didnt had any practise in HU.The distant villain( had 1/8 of my stack) didnt want to quit and folded to any aggression of me, there were some postflop games but he folded any betting. It took ca 10 hands to finish it.
what did he think?he could sweep me like i did before with the 3rd place( i started at 1000 and he was 8000 and kicked him out )?

it sounds like you're looking for a video game. even if you find one, i wouldn't trust it. i've never played a video game with artificial intelligence worth playing. if you're on full tilt you could build up your play money enough to play heads up there. but the people playing free money aren't going to teach you anything. the best thing to do is play $2 SnGs heads up. they're not very hard to beat. they're typically beginners too. but it'll give you a better feel for how to play. as a basic guide, i'd say this. raise with any pair, any ace, kq, kj, qj. limp or possibly raise with any suited connector. and don't be afraid to bluff. you have to play much looser heads up. more often than not, you'll finish the game with a coin flip.

I had a large response typed, and lost it all. Dang it.

All right, well this is going to be much shorter. Essentially, you have to be aggressive, but within reason. Raise more from the button, and call raises less from the BB (have tighter hand requirements to call a raise from the button than your hand requirements to raise from the button). Read the guides on here, they help. It's better to take coin flips when you are the chip leader as it doesn't knock you out if you lose the flip. It's easier to bluff from the button than the BB. When you are the chip leader, feel free to put out "probe" bets frequently, because more often than not the shorter stack is going to miss the flop, just don't get carried away where they can exploit this.

The cheapest HU Sng tourneys will teach you and let you practice as well. As deadbabysoup said though, the competition is usually pretty soft, but it'll definitely help you out HU. After playing a bunch of these, my HU game improved at the end of tourney's/SnG's for sure. I think to date, I've finished in first in more 180 sng's than second, and after 1000+ HU SnG's, I definitely feel like I get into my comfort zone when I go heads up at the end of a tourney or sng.

You might find this post useful.

Although I should add it's a bit TAG and and you'd probably need to be a bit more aggressive in tourney mode, especially when you're chip leader.

After a while, you may even find that you prefer heads-up sng's. When played well, they can be quite profitable.

    Good luck!

I have definitely played more HU Sng's than regular sng's. However, they usually are much shorter, but they also seem to flip a profit a bit faster as well.

    hello,

i played today some hu sng on the 1$ level and on the beginning the other played loose but not aggressive.
then after few hands he began to bet all in and the game was a quick over for him
have to do this more, good profit in less time
