Default Why do I hate Barry Greenstein the more I watch him?

Why do I hate Barry Greenstein the more I watch him? He just has thisthing about him that is really not "made for TV".

Season 5 of High Stakes Poker solidified it for me.

This is why I hate Barry...

But for real, I think Barry is one of the coolest pros. Ivey used to tag along with Barry before he got really rich. Now it's Barry who tags along with Ivey haha. Both are my favorite pros by far. Plus, he's a ladies man.

Barry is the most classiest player out there. The way a poker player should be.

False. Barry is definitely made for TV. He's different than most of the "made for TV" guys. How is Doyle made for TV? How is Chris Ferguson made for TV? They are rocks who barely say anything. Your argument is illogical.

Yeah, I fully enjoy watching Barry play on T.V. If you didn't have players like Barry, can you imagine?! An entire table full of Hellmuths... it would be horrible! It'd be like watching Desperate Housewives or Gray's Anatomy. 100% Drama... 100% Bull !@#$. Barry gives a good balance.

if any of the pros are made for tv, it's barry. he gives a ton of action, talks more at the table than most, plus he donates all his tournament winnings to charity. what more could you ask for?

if you don't think barry is made for tv, who do you think is better suited? matusow? he's a nit.

jomeyer is totally right on the mark. Barry Greenspan is such a very cool guy to give so much to charity. Far too few poker professionals donate to charity and he is one of the biggest poker donators to charity! That in itself should earn a lot of respect among people!

Apart from the charity angle, he is a great player too. Besides, a person doesn't have to make stupid comments all the time like... a certain small number of players, just to make great tv. Barry plays the game with a certain coolness which is definitely to be respected.

He's a douche bag. I mean it's fine to donate to charity, but you don't go around telling everybody. And who does he think he is handing out a book every time he gets knocked out. He is just so cheesy.

A douche bag? He doesn't mention donating to charity that much. Most of the time it's the TV show he's on. And who the fuck cares how much he mentions it? No matter how annoying it could be for you, he's still giving away millions of dollars to people who need it. That makes you an incredible douche bag for calling someone like Barry one.

And the book thing is a cool idea. It promotes his book and shows some good sportsmanship unlike Phil Helmuth.

The "LOL donkaments" wasn't a spur of the moment thing he said. People from a forum said they'd donate to charity if he said that on High Stakes Poker. They also came up with the "Math is idiotic" phrase on this season's show. It has raised over 100k I think for charity, so it's pretty sweet for the amount of effort Barry had to put into it.
