how is the rake calculated by absolute poker?? and what % do they take???
Please refer to the Absolute Poker rake table.
Your Absolute rakeback.com/">Poker rakeback is calculated based on the weighed average of your bets compared to pot size. So you for the rakeback calculations you get allocated the proportion of the pot's rake that is equal to the proportion of the money you put to the total pot.
Based on how AP calculates rake, I wonder who has the best Rakeback deal.
FTP pays lower, but I think they are more generous in their calculations.
Any thought on which is better?
The way that Full Tilt does their rake encourages rock gardens. People will just sit there and fold, knowing they get rakeback when other people play big hands.
In my opinion, the fairest rake calculation is to give the winner of the pot credit for paying all the rake -- since that is really what they have done. But sites don't do it this way.
The second best way is the weighted contribution. At least you're getting rakeback according to the amount of money you're moving around on the table. If you're playing big pots and stirring up action, you'll get more rakeback. Not that you need to do that. But this still encourages people to play because they're not getting anything for folding 90% of their hands.
When you calculate it like Full Tilt does, there is no benefit to playing anything but your premium hands.
I get no respect. . . when I move all-in, people from other tables call.
