Over the last 2 years I've been a predominately FR player whilst trying to learn the basics of the game. The last couple of months have seen me make the move to 6 max.
So on to AKo.
Pokertracker tells me over 68k (FR) hands I have been a (albeit modest) winning player with AKo across 2 limits (5NL and 10NL). For me there's plenty of room for improvement. PFR was 68% whilst W$SD was just 50.88%. Overall winrate is just 54.69%. Judging by my friends results there's definately room for improvement.
Now for 6 max.
After 12,485 hands and having AKo 122 times I'm losing. My PFR is just 68% but I put this down to having AKo 51 times out of 122 in the blinds, I just hate raising/re-raising from here at this level (10NL) Vs probable multiple callers. My overall winrate is just 54.78% whilst W$SD is 52.17%. From SB I'm almost 2 BI's down, from BB i'm 130 BB's in profit. Most disturbing for me is on the button where surely it's correct to be more aggressive. I got caught early trying to isolate short stack UTG when SB just wouldn't lay down 77 despite my all-in shove on the 2nd round of PF betting, I guess I've been scared since then. On a similar play I've actually laid down PF when SB re-raised, that in itself felt like a win and sure enough, it was, he had KK. There was also another time where my weakness allowed K3s in, he caught his flush on the turn, fortunately he shoved and I folded, the only caller flopped a set, again I felt like I had won.
Now I really dont know if I've just been unlucky or whether I really need to be more aggressive. Any tips?
