I far prefer Poker Stars over Tilt, not just because I have had an unbelievably bad run of cards & gruesomely sick beats over the last two months on Full Tilt.
Also I'm not so sure whether the customer service on Full Tilt have better things to do than answer customers' questions but it most certainly feels that way...
What's more, when depositing on stars they give better currency exchange compared to that of FT - which is a very pleasant bonus!
Also Stars have deepstack tourneys with 30 minute blinds which is more like how poker tourneys should be played. But in Tilt's favour they do have the unmissable 10cent rebuy tourney which is great value for money and the daily dollar - albeit the latter is more for US players than Europeans due to its timing.
And I'm not missing my RB either as it seems that there's every loophole under the sun to ensure that getting that full 27% isn't easy every week what with deposit deductions etc...
Edit: forgot to mention that I am a tourney player only online due to the risks of collusion in cash games online. And it's nice, at last, to be in a thread with dew where we are not aguing with each other!

As far as cash games, Full Tilt by far is my favorite. Just some of the many advantages IMO:
-RAKEBACK!!!!!
-I use their color codes to identify different players.
-The interface is slightly easier for me to use. I love the POT button and especially the mouse wheel feature to roll your bet amount. I find on Stars that a lot of times I have to double click a button to get it to work. It's much easier for me to multitable on Tilt.
-I HATE on the Stars ring games when you go all in, they don't show you the hole cards until after the river. At least on Tilt, you know where you're at in the hand right away.
-If you use Poker Tracker or some other software that tracks hands, Full Tilt lets you track unlimited observed hands. I use this especially when I'm ready to try out a new limit to get a little grip on who the good players are and who the looser ones are. Stars caps observed hands at 30 hands per table. 30 hands gives you nowhere near an estimation of what type of a player someone is.
-You don't have to play big limits to earn comp points on Tilt. You get .01 FTP for every $.20 in the pot whereas on Stars, the pot has to get to at least $8 before you get a VPP. If you're a high limit player then Stars' comp program is probably better but most online players are small to mid stakes people. It's much easier to move up in Full Tilt's Iron Man program. As I just mentioned in another thread, you can get Silver every month even playing micro limits.
-Did I mention rakeback?
As far as tournaments, I still give Stars the edge there. I don't play many tourneys anymore but when I do, I like the big ones. They got a tournament every Sunday, for example, that's only an $11 buyin that gets a prize pool around $300,000. Hey, all it takes is one time to get a nice payday for a micro investment. I will say that Tilt has improved some with bigger turnouts in recent months.
"I'd like to play a game. The rules are simple."
fulltilt's rake hits harder for micro players however. this happen because Stars does not take rake until the pot hits $1. They literally take $0.05 for every complete $1 in the pot, and no more or no less with nl games. I will admit it is a tad harder to accumulate points on Stars, but you get an entire VPP everytime the pot hits $8. Stars points are also worth considerably more. For example, the ipod classic costs 22,000 points on stars... and 57,000 on ftp.
For tournament play, I definitely prefer Stars. As you get 5fpp's for every $1 in rake paid. Once you move up the tier to higher levels, this goes up by the multiplier and earning points goes a lot faster. The tournament selection at stars is definitely better imo.
I'm kind of inbetween honestly. I go back and forth.
Stars ticked me off when I tried to cash out and they wanted a certain number of VPP per $100 I wanted to cash out... since my last transfer. That was hard for me because I played at micro limits and gaining as much VPP as they wanted would take forever. I ended up playing $25NL until I had enough to cash out. That was higher than I wanted to play though. So it wasn't really a good thing. I ran well and made money during it but that wasn't really the point.
On the other hand, I've never tried to cash out from Full Tilt. I have transferred a large chunk of my bankroll though and they didn't give me any headaches about that. The play on both sites is what it is.
I don't have rakeback on either. So that isn't a factor. The higher rake at the micro limits at Full Tilt does get under my skin. So I usually play on Stars -- if I am playing on one of those sites. They aren't my regular site though.
I get no respect. . . when I move all-in, people from other tables call.
i haven't played on stars in years....what's the deal with their point system. i hear it's a ton better than full tilt to kind of make up for the fact that they don't have rakeback. when i'm playing a lot i get between 3 and 500 dollars a week in rakeback, and i will frequently go broke and then just wait for the rakeback and rinse repeat the whole cycle again. i play 12 tables at once and i'll play for like 12 hours straight so that's how i'm able to do that. if i'm playing that much does anyone know the type of stuff i'd be able to get in stars? i hear about this nova and super nova stuff i don't really know what it is though
