    Default A little help/advice

Yes, I know this should go to the poker rooms forum, but it gets no action so I'll just post here.

So here's my little problem: Ongame network recently updated their software/engine to P5, or something, and at the same time the whole damn thing went to hell. There's no waitlist to tables (yes, they have promised constantly to bring it back), and worst of all, the new software is murder on my comp. Processor usage is at 100% pretty much all the time and sooner or later the whole comp freezes up really bad. Not to mention that they started deducting bonuses from rakeback.

Now, I'm thinking about a new pokerroom to play at. I want a poker room with good selection of tables (meaning I want to see at least 10 tables of certain limits), and mothly bonuses would be good too . I'm thinking International Poker Network. I've understood that it is a bigger network than Ongame, which is a huge plus, altough for instance Eurobet poker says on their site that there are currently 14,750 players online. Paradise poker says that they have 5,455. That's is a huge difference if they are accurate. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure I'm switching simply because Ongame screwed the pooch with this update.

So which pokersite should I transfer my money to: Celeb poker, Paradise poker, Parbet, or Poker heaven? Or does it make any difference because they are in the same network, thus the graphics should be the same as well as players no matter what site they play at.I am leaning towards either Celeb poker or Poker heaven, but I just can't decide...
Limit poker is a science, but no-limit is an art. In limit you are shooting at a target. In no-limit, the target comes alive and shoots back at you.

Just thinking that you might care to say what rooms you are a member of already, how much of your play is tourney or cash based, how busy the room should be at an absolute minimum during your normal playing times, and how important rakeback is to you. That'd be of some help to those thinking of advising you.

I've played both Paradise and Poker Heaven and enjoy both. Time now is coming up to midnight (UK time) and many tables still in play from NL200 downwards. As a micro player I cant advise about bonuses, I'm never offered any. The software works fine, especially now they've finally allowed proper resizable tables. Be aware there are minimum rake requirements before you're eligible for rakeback with Poker Heaven. Short handed tables are just 5 max. There's also the option to play either USD, Euro or GBP tables which I quite like. Solely for rakeback purposes you're probably better off with Poker Heaven compared to Paradise (not sure these do rakeback?).

I'm a member in Party, Stars, Titan, Full Tilt (lost the rakeback deal because I never got around to playing there), Ultimate, Absolute, Pokerroom, and Eurobet. I think that's about it.

I've also read about PKR that it has a lot of traffic. I play full table NL100-NL200 and I always 6-table. PKR might be interesting, but with all the graphics and what not they have, is it rough on the computer?

Eh, who knows, maybe I'll just make rakeback deals with all of them, check the software out playing funny money games for a few minutes, and then make my final decision.
