Default Full Tilt: Satellite tokens vs cash bonus for Iron man ring game players

Does anyone use there Iron man medals to purchase the $75 token and then cash it out for the 5% commission for $71.25?

According to this very nice article http://www.rakeback.com/articles/ful...-man-rakeback/

The per medal value of $600 cash bonus is $0.146 vs $0.1875 ($0.178125 after the 5% commission charged to cash out the $token). So it looks each medal would be worth $0.032 more with the token cash out option, or an extra $96 bucks considering the cost of the $600 cash bonus! Plus you will accrue 400 medals much quicker than 3000 and you don't have to clear the token, just cash it out in the cashier!

Maybe I am missing something, but it seems like a no-brainer to use your medals this way if you are a ring game player like myself. I know the Free rolls have even more $/medal, but I'd rather have the cash as opposed to playing freerolls or using the tokens for sngs, etc.

Am I missing some additional deductions??? I tried to breeze through some forums and I didn't find anyone specifically doing this, so I am sure I am overlooking something!?!?!

    Thanks in advance.

Are you saying that you have acually converted a 75 dollar token to cash? Or you want to do that? If you have please let me know how you did it.

I was told by a friend that you could cash in tokens via the FTP cashier, where they charge a 5% commission. I haven't tried it myself. Maybe that is the catch, you cant cash in tokens?? Otherwise it seems like ring game players would be doing this in lieu of purchasing the $600 cash bonus.

You can cash in tournament dollars for sure. They charge a commission for cashing in tournament dollars. I don't know about tokens though. Tournament dollars are earned by winning a satellite for a larger tournament, and then unregistering for the larger tournament. Tokens might be completely different though.

I don't know for sure as I have not tried, but I think you can not convert tournament tokens to cash. Only tournament dollars (T$).

When you go to Full Tilt cashier and click the CONVERT T$ button, you get the Convert Tournament Dollars window where you must enter an amount of Tournament Dollars to be converted to real money. There is no option given to use tokens.

Ad dew said, I think you must first win a ticket to some other tournament and unregister from it, to get T$ that you can convert to cash.

I had this same idea a while back. I had a ton of ftp points and medals saved up, i think i was trying to go for a plasma or something but then i got drunk and decided to 3 table 100/200 heads up with kenny tran and that was about the end of that. So i ended up getting like 1000 dollars worth of tokens from playing 1800 ftp tournies and i went to cash it out and couldn't understand why i couldn't do it. Then the aha moment when i satellited into the same tournament twice and they gave me tournament dollars in place of my buy in. Moral of the story is everyone is right you can't convert tokens.

However....75 dollar tokens buy into 9, 18, 45, and 90 man sit and go's that pay straight cash prizes so that's something to consider if you ever go flat and want to try to get some quick actual money.
