Bad beat !!

yesterday, I wan in a tournament on Game On, I was 9 on 10 !!

I receive 6-6 I raise 1.200, the player at my left call and another too.

Flop:

K-K-Q

The player at my left bet my All In, the other player fold ,I call.

He shows his card: A-8

Currently, I win.

Turn:

Q

River:

2

I won, because he has two pairs, me too, AS Kicker !

This is a horrible spot to call an all-in with 6-6. Even if he has a hand like A-8o, which he did, you are 62% to win. If he has a K or a Q, you're drawing very slim (under 9%). And if he has KQ (it is possible) you're drawing pretty much dead. Even if he has a hand like J-T... you're going to lose about 57% of the time. A-T and A-J have you with only a 52% lead (you're basically flipping against those hands).

You're either a slight favorite, or way behind when you call the all-in here. I don't know the stack sizes or what kind of player the person was, so the odds of him doing this with a complete bluff are hard to tell. If he's doing it with no pair but at least a straight draw, you're pretty much in a coin flip.

Had it checked to you, I don't mind the shove. You have fold equity against a lot of hands in the above ranges. But calling a shove here is almost suicidal. This isn't so much a bad beat, as it is unfortunate. What were the stacks when this happened? What were the blinds? And what was you image and his image at the table?

The blinds were at 600-1200.

But at all the hand he was raise just for take the blind !!

And at in the moment, I was sure who he has no K or Q !!

You minraised your 6-6 and were committed on the flop? Why not open-shove with them if you're that short on chips?

And a little information, I was no raise just Call the 6-6.

But I think he was very lucky, because he had nothing !! Just As kicker !!

And he wanted bluff !!

You have about 4xBB. You can't call pre-flop with 6-6. Move all-in pre-flop and put the decision on the other players.

Even if he calls with A-8, you're a slight favorite. And that's just the way poker is some times.

This isn't a bad beat. When the money went in, it was a 3:2 situation. That's just going to happen often enough that it can't be considered a bad beat. Had the money gone in pre-flop (when it should) it would be about 1:1... so still not a bad beat.

A bad beat is a 4:1 lead pre-flop and at least a 7:3 lead on the flop.

This was unfortunate, yes. You should win that hand most of the time. But it's not that unlucky.

I am really not sure whether or not to take you seriously afatsar.

I have read many of your threads and either you are genuinely inexperienced (in which case I apologise for my next statement) otherwise you are taking the mickey out of people?

I deleted a post in answer to your thread on AK the other day, having concluded you were just having a laugh at other peoples expense.

Like I say if you are really new to the game then please say so and I am sure people will try to take your posts more seriously.

As far as this hand is concerned your call was absolutely awful as there is no way you can be sure of your opponents holding. In fact the whole hand was awful as you should either shove or fold your 6 6 pre flop given the blinds and stack sizes.


You have me very confused The hand itself doesn't even make sense as you state that you won?
