AA cash game trouble, again

Ok, I already know I played this hands bad, but if you guys look at the flop and the turn play, what do you think is the best way to get out of the hand?
I figured he was on a set, I just donked my money away though because I played it poorly.

Looks like you did everything right. You raised pre-flop, you got called, you made a C-bet, that's good. Nothing on the board would have scared me off pocket aces there. I don't think you misplayed that hand at all.

It's poker and sometimes you just have to go broke, nothing you can do in that situation. Better luck next time.

The SPR in this hand is 12.5, which is absolutely horrible against a good aggressive player when you have an over-pair. It becomes a question of, "Do you really think this other player is getting that much money in post-flop with a one-pair hand?"

Does your opponent stack off here with J-J? What about A-Q? Or A-T? Would your opponent even call pre-flop with A-T? I mean, some of this is based on their image. But I'm assuming they're slightly more reasonable than that.

This flop is insanely dry, especially because you have the A which dramatically reduces the chances the person is sitting there with a flush draw.

6-T-2... and you get raised on the flop. At that point, I think he could be raising to get you off A-K with a hand like 9-Ts or J-J... but I don't think I like the call. I might even like to see a 3-bet here. In fact, if you pop it to $17 here... you really rule out anything that doesn't beat A-A. If you 3-bet the flop and he raises again, you can just let it go. You've lose $18.5 on the hand though. And losing almost 50% of your stack sucks.

If you call on the flop, you've put in 20% of your starting stack. What is your commitment plan for the rest of this hand? What turns are you folding and what turns will you get it all-in with? What range do you put him on that you can profitably get all-in on the turn against?

Is he calling the turn check-shove with J-J or A-Q? I'm betting he has you on a big pair here... maybe A-K or A-Q (which I doubt)... but still... if he calls that shove, what does he call with that you're ahead of?

Do I go broke here with Aces? Maybe. I won't lie, I've been in a lot of similar situations and failed to recognize the trouble I was in. I'm getting a little better with it though.

This is wayyyyy too player dependent for me to make any kind of judgement. Against some players I would never stack off 160bb with AA on a dry flop, against others I'm fist-pumping here. I will comment that I think 3betting and folding to a shove is bad. You fold out his bluffs and one pair hands 100% of the time. Against an utter unknown my standard line would probably be call flop raise, call turn bet, and fold to a river bet a large majority of the time. Not many people have the balls to bluff 3 streets. I really can't even tell you how much this depends on opponent for me.

Yeah but then we're still putting in over half our stack and folding to a less than half-pot sized bet on the river. They might not be bluffing in that spot very often... but it's a sick spot to be folding regardless. I don't like putting over 70xBB into a pot that I'm just going to give up on for such a small bet on the river. That's another reason I am not fond of the reraise on the flop... altough I like it better than some things.

This is just a horrible board to assume he's bluffing. If it was 9-Q-3 or something... yeah, it's easy to assume he's firing a bluff out there because there are a lot of hands that you beat that could rereaise as a semi-bluff. I don't know. Someone limping then calling a raise pre-flop... and going nuts on a nothing flop like that... it just sets tons of bells off in my head.

Granted, we know what the guy had. If we didn't know, maybe I might think it's J-J or 9-9 or something like that here. But still... it's such a bad sign when someone reacts like this to a garbage flop.
