Who else cannot stand the avatar selection on Fulltilt?

I personally cannot stand the avatar selection on full tilt. I know, I know, you can hide them, but personally I like a little personality when I sit at a table.

Like Pokerstars allows you to be a little original with the icons (Although I do hate people with pictures of other poker players ).

Let's start a feature request that would allow you to customize Fulltilt icons. It could be as simple as allowing you to pick hairstyle, eyes head size, etc etc.

I get what you're saying... Kind of like on PKR where you can create your own player. That would be a nice feature to have. I agree Full Tilt's avatars are a bit outdated and boring.

Personally I would like it to be compulsary to have a picture of yourself as your avatar. I know it would be impossible to enforce such a thing, but I reckon it would be good for a couple of reasons.

First I could remember who the hell I was playing against because I really struggloe to get to grips with playing TTR235696 or TTR3254676 etc etc. And despite my notes I like to remember a bit about who I play.

Second I reckon it would stop people from being so damned obnoxious to each other. The fact that your picture is there for all to see IMO would make people less keen to spout off at the mouth.

i preferred poker stars at first. but full tilt has grown on me. they have a certain charm. like the original nintendo characters. you can make mario 3D animated. but that doesn't make him any better.

I hate the avatars. I turn them off. The only time I see avatars are when a heads up sng match is over and FT pops up with the "rematch?" option.

yeah i agree, just little things like having the funny final table background with the cameras and crowd and stuff.
just little things that make it more fun i guess.

I think one day they should have a WEBCAM option for your avatar... I am not saying that everyone would do it but it would be interesting to see how the online game would change if you could see who you where playing against. Maybe they could have certain tables reserved where you can only play with an active webcam. They used to have an application on facebook where you could play webcam poker but it was obviously play money. It was fun to play though. I always wondered what it would be to play for real money with a webcam.

Frecklers, I honestly don't think the factor of real pic vs fake pic would make any difference in the way people communicate with one another online. Psychologically speaking, the fact that there's a slim to zero chance that you'll ever meet the guy playing at your table gives people the sense that they can get away with murder where chat is concerned, and they're pretty much correct. There is nothing between a screen and a player to stop them from being a complete douche, and they know it.

Pokerbucket, as for the webcam idea, I think it would be an interesting and unique feature to have, but unfortunately it might end up bringing out the worst in some people... think about the fact that there's really no way to censor a live webcam... so they could do just about anything and get away with it.

You can create your own custom avatars, the problem is youll be the only one that can see them. But if you just wanted to change it up a little it is an option. The avatars are located in the program files for Full Tilt and are fairly easy to modify,

I know I have thought about this... how would you control all the crazy naked people... but think about it... in webcam rooms it is completely anonymous but the poker rooms know who you are and they could make strict rules and penalties if you expose yourself. I think it is possible that it might happen but i still don't think it is going to happen as often as you think. Like i said before I used to play webcam poker on facebook and no one ever got naked.... what a shame lol.
