Default Is Phil Ivey going to win the main event?

27 players left and Phil Ivey is in 4th place, Antonio Esfandiari is still in it too he is in 20th place. They will play down to the final 9 today. I would like to see Phil take it.

27 left... are there only these 2 pros left at this time?

I'm surprised any known pros are left. Jeff Shulman is still in it, too. Ivey clearly has the best chance to win it. Most likely, a lot of these players are wanting to move up in money. Ivey's bankroll won't even minorly be affected unless he takes top 3 basically. I would say first or second place would be the only significant money boost to him, and once he gets to heads up it's pretty much over already. Today he'll just be picking off people left and right while maybe even picking on the chips stacks bigger than his. I really hope the 3 pros left can make it to the November 9, since last year's wait was so damn boring with these terrible unknowns. Plus, Ivey is pretty much the coolest person in the world and I'd love to see him win. Antonio's got a good shot as well. Today will be a big sweat for me haha.

Phil Ivey has a shit load of money... last year he bought a 2 million dollar bugatti. It is rumored he is worth around 50 million. The money doesn't matter he wants to win.

I've heard that him and Todd Brunson have the biggest bankrolls of all the pros. I heard in the hundreds of millions. I would be extremely surprised if Phil didn't have more than 200 million to his name. $8mill (4 after taxes) is still a lot, but it's not going to change his life like it would 90% of the field.

They are ten handed now, just one away from the official final table. Esfandiari is long gone, Ivey sits ninth in chips, Shulman is currently fourth. ESPN must be praying Ivey makes it as ratings will be thru the roof to see him in the November Nine.

he's the best all around player in the world. he'll have to get unlucky not to win it. that said, he is a little short stacked. and it's 8 against 1. but i'd put him at even money to win.

Ivey is surely the best player at the table, but I will snap up this bet in a heartbeat. Name the amount - I'm in.
